Apollonion Asterias Resort and Spa is a luxurious, family-friendly hotel, located on the western side of Kefalonia. It features two large outdoor swimming pools, the Asterias Aqua Park, a splash park, gym, spa, outdoor cinema and two on-site a la carte restaurants and bars.
The tranquil resort is situated within 67 acres of lush gardens, opposite the golden sandy beach of Xi that overlooks the Ionian Sea. It is located in Lixouri on the Paliki peninsula in western Greece. The capital Argostoli is worth a visit for its wide choice of shops, bars and restaurants. Take a stroll along the harbour arm to spot wild sea turtles. The charming fishing town of Sami is approximately 36 miles from the resort. Visit one of the tavernas that line the harbourside for a leisurely lunch, followed by a dip at the small but beautiful beach of Antisamos. Apollonion Asterias Resort and Spa is just over 30 miles from Kefalonia International Airport.
The hotel’s rooms sit within the Apollonion and Asterias complexes, which are surrounded by well-kept, manicured gardens. Little ones also have access to a splash park and a children’s playground. Plus, there is the Asterias Aqua Park on offer, which features an Adventure Pool with three exciting slides, a Relaxation Pool and a lazy river. The La Primavera restaurant, situated between the Asterias and Apollonion complexes, is open for buffet breakfasts and dinners. They serve dishes using local ingredients and have a terrace for dining al fresco. A perfect spot for dinner is Trattoria Oliva. This is a stylish, a la carte Italian roof garden restaurant boasting breathtaking views across the Ionian Sea. The hotel also features La Pergola for your Greek souvlaki fix, as well as grilled food prepared on the spot and freshly made salads. In addition, Delice is the hotel's all day snack restaurant.
