The all-inclusive Kuredu Island Resort stretches across a tropical island in the Maldives, encircled by picture-perfect beaches and turquoise lagoons. The resort offers budget-friendly accommodation and is divided into three main areas, each with its own buffet-style restaurant, pool and bar. The island’s main centre appeals to both families and adults, while the ‘Sangu Resort’ is for adults only (15+) and ‘O Resort’ is exclusively for families with children (12+). Kuredu Island Resort lies on a private island in the Lhaviyani Atoll, bordered by white sand beaches and aquamarine lagoons. A breathtaking reef sits just offshore, giving you the chance to explore the area’s abundant marine life. You can travel around the 143-acre resort by foot, bicycle or complimentary shuttle. The resort is around a 45-minute seaplane transfer from Male International Airport.
The resort’s thatch-roofed bungalows and spacious villas are spread across the island’s beaches and situated on stilts above the lagoon. Couples will prefer the more grown-up accommodation in the ‘Sangu Resort’, while groups or families with older children have the option to stay in the ‘O Resort’ or the main family-friendly beach area. Garden Bungalows are the most affordable accommodation, complete with an outdoor terrace and semi open-air bathroom. You can upgrade to a contemporary villa with direct beach access, or book a spacious villa with a private pool. Meanwhile, the adult-only Sangu Water Villas are perched above the ocean, enhanced by a private deck with sunset views and steps which lead directly into the lagoon.

Savour mouth-watering culinary delights and refreshing sundowners at the resort’s six restaurants. The three main buffet-style restaurants are conveniently spread across the island, catering for three different accommodation areas. Bonthi Restaurant is open for guests in the Garden Bungalows, Beach Bungalows and Premium Beach Bungalows, and the Koamas Restaurant serves guests in Beach Villas, Deluxe Beach Villas, Premium Beach Villas and Jacuzzi Beach Villas. Meals for guests in the O Beach Villas and O Jacuzzi Beach Villas (12+) are served in the O Restaurant, and the Sangu Restaurant serves meals for guests staying in all room types within in Sangu resort area (15+). Guests staying in Private Pool Villas can choose where they dine (restrictions apply with children). All restaurants feature ‘all you can eat’ buffets.
The three a la carte options include Franco’s, the Mediterranean-themed restaurant, and The Far East, which specializes in Asian-Fusion cuisine. The more casual Beach Shack prepares fresh, local seafood and vegetarian dishes, and optional snack menus are available at all restaurant bars.
There are a variety of other bars dotted around the island, including Babuna Bar, the main entertainment venue, and the candlelit Akiri Bar. You can also quench your thirst at the Golf Bar, order a cocktail at the Pool Bar or soak up the relaxed ambience of Sai Kotari Tea House, which features underwater lights so you can watch the marine life after sunset.
