When away from the theme parks, relax in the hotel’s large free-form pool or on the adjacent sandy beach. Lined with palm trees, the pool offers two hot tubs, private cabana rentals, a beach volleyball court and a water play area for children. Poolside games include ping pong, pool basketball and hula hooping.

Other hotel facilities include an arcade games room. Health-conscious guests can visit the impressive fitness centre which has a steam room and sauna. Otherwise there are picturesque jogging and walking paths all around the resort.

Islands Dining Room serves South Pacific-inspired cuisine for breakfast and dinner. Start the day here with signature Hawaiian pancakes or the Tahitian French toast, and indulge in dishes from the Pan Asian dinner menu in the evenings. Kids’ menus are available.

For lunch, enjoy classic bar food and drinks at Jake's American Bar or head to the poolside Bula Bar & Grille to savour tropical cocktails and light fare such as salads, tacos, nachos, and wraps. The nearby Bula Ice Bar opens seasonally and serves homemade ice creams and frozen smoothies. For something a bit more upmarket, visit the Orchid Court Lounge & Sushi Bar which presents a vibrant menu of handmade Japanese dishes and beverages such as sake and beer. The sophisticated atmosphere is enhanced by the handcrafted chandelier and large windows which offer views of the tropical grounds. (Must be 21+ with valid photo ID to purchase and consume alcoholic beverages).

The convenient Tuk Tuk Market is a great option for those on the go. You can order coffee, pastries, ice creams and signature Tuk Tarts here – plus a variety of sandwiches, wok bowls and sushi dishes to take away. A relaxed seating area overlooks the luau pavilion.

A special Wantilan Luau dinner experience is on offer for a supplement, and 24-room service is available.
