Outside, you’ll find a large freshwater swimming pool, complemented by a fountain, lush greenery, a hydromassage tub and a terrace with sun loungers and umbrellas. Drinks, snacks and lunchtime meals are served at the Aqua Pool Lounge, and the hotel provides pool towels. You can also sit back and relax in the hotel’s gazebo surrounded by citrus and palm trees of the Sorrentine gardens. Alternatively, take the lift down to the beach at the foot of the cliffs. This rather small but popular beach is covered in volcanic sand and features a private area for hotel guests, a furnished sunbathing platform and water slides for children.

The basement-level Le Pietre Spa is illuminated by natural sunlight and an ambient star-dotted ceiling. The spa is equipped with a hot tub, sauna, steam bath and a salt relaxation room. You can book a range of treatments for a supplementary charge here, including the signature Mediterraneo Ritual, which incorporates lemon and orange products, and the Aroma-Essence massage with natural Mediterranean fragrances.

A complimentary hotel shuttle operates every 30 minutes to the city centre, and you can book guided tours on the hotel-owned, 14-meter yacht for an additional charge.

The Vesuvio Roof Restaurant overlooks the beautiful bay before the towering Mount Vesuvius. You can try traditional Italian dishes here, made with fresh local ingredients. The extensive Mediterranean-inspired menu includes fish, seafood, homemade pasta and vegetarian specialities, and there’s a special wine list with local varieties.

For lunch, head to the Aqua Pool Lounge for delicious grilled fare, salads, pastas and traditional woodfired pizzas. In the summer months, this laidback venue converts into a restaurant in the evenings, with themed menus, buffet spreads and live musical entertainment.

At the sophisticated Oltremare Lounge Bar, you can enjoy pre-dinner appetisers and cocktails. You can also spend long summer nights at the fabulous Vista Sky Bar (open four times a week), absorbing 360-degree views across the bay with your favourite drink in hand.
