With 12 pristine beaches bordering the island, you can find a new space to relax each day. Plenty of sun loungers, cabanas, hammocks and tiki-style umbrellas line the beaches, and the Indian Ocean’s calm turquoise waters invite you to swim and snorkel around the lagoon.

The island’s three swimming pools include an adult-only infinity lap pool that stretches out into the lagoon, complete with a built-in whirlpool. Towering palms and lush tropical foliage shade the family-friendly pool, and little one splash in the adjacent kids’ club pool with a slide, shallow areas and child-sized sun loungers. There’s also a vitality pool at the spa, where you can enjoy a range of ESPA treatments, from restorative massages to modern body rituals. The spa also houses an overwater couple’s suite, a watsu pool, a cold plunge pool, ice bath, relaxation gardens, crystal steam rooms and saunas that are available for private hire.

Additional leisure facilities include a rock-climbing wall, football pitch, Technogym fitness centre, two tennis courts, a Padel court and an art studio. You can enjoy yoga on the beach and try complimentary non-motorised water sports − including kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding and snorkelling – at the Splash Water Sports Centre. Plus, a range of motorised water sports are available for a supplementary charge. Alternatively, you can book introductory diving courses and guided dive experiences at the on-site PADI Gold Palm Resort Dive Centre.

KidsOnly and OneTribe are complimentary clubs for children aged between 4 and 12, and 13 and 17 years old. An expert childcare team will supervise a range of age-appropriate activities here − including art classes, cookery lessons, sports and team games − while older children watch movies and play games in a dedicated lounge. ClubOne also offers activities for teens, including beach volleyball, badminton, table tennis and board games.

One&Only Reethi Rah use locally sourced ingredients where possible, including fresh herbs, vegetables and fruits from the chef’s garden. There’s an exceptional choice of dining options, whether you fancy dining under the banyan trees at the candlelit Botanica (with its garden-to-table approach) or savouring Middle Eastern delicacies along the beach at Fanditha, an open-air restaurant overlooking the Indian Ocean.

Reethi, the resort’s main restaurant, serves international breakfasts and dinners. It’s divided into three separate dining areas, specialising in French, Pan-Asian and Mediterranean cuisine. For lunch, you can savour fresh salads, seafood and grilled delicacies at Beach Club, or head to Rabarbaro for authentic and rustic Italian fare. Between meals, you can order your favourite drinks at the poolside Rah Bar.

The Tapasake restaurant is the place to go for spectacular sunset views and exquisite Japanese offerings with a Mediterranean twist. This large overwater restaurant also boasts sushi and teppanyaki grill stations, private dining areas and a grand terrace. After dark, the Sombra Lounge is ideal for cocktails, transforming into a vibrant hub with DJs and live music.

For a supplement charge, you can book a magical private dinner at Reethi Ah-Li or in a lantern-lit treehouse. In-villa dining is also available.
