Stunning design, 180-degree sea views from every room, Michelin-starred dining and exceptional service are just a few examples of what makes AMARA such an impressive resort. Taking inspiration from the ancient Greek word ‘amarantos’, meaning everlasting, AMARA’s modus operandi is to offer a unique holiday experience with everlasting memories. You’ll find a beachfront situation, signature spa, family-friendly facilities and even a bespoke resort scent – created by Molton Brown.
Located on the southern coast of Cyprus near Limassol, AMARA sits close to the famous archaeological site of Amanthus, which is less than a mile away. Venture slightly further north to reach the acropolis (around a mile and a half from the resort) or head 10 miles west to reach the centre of Limassol, with its castle and marina. Sat roughly in the middle of Cyprus, the resort is 33 miles from Larnaca International Airport and 46 miles from Paphos International Airport.
Your stay immediately gets off to a chic start as you enter under a towering, stone walkway, lined with black birdcage chairs, bordered by shallow, black-bottomed pools. The lobby continues the epic proportions and immaculate style, while leading your gaze out to the sea. AMARA’s spacious rooms and suites provide a palette of sand and stone tones, with sea blue accents referencing the views visible from floor-to-ceiling windows. Flooring is marble or parquet, and furniture is a combination of walnut and oak wood, with a nod to mid-century modern style. Modern amenities include electronically operated lights and curtains, wardrobes with illuminated hanging rails and USB charging points. Serene marble bathrooms sport double washbasins, large bathtubs, and separate showers in most. Upgrading to a Junior Suite will offer you almost twice the space of a Deluxe Sea View room, as well as an additional bathroom – accessible from the living area. You’ll have the most indulgent stay in a Roof Top Duplex Suite, where you can enjoy plenty of space in your lower level bedroom and living area and soak up the sun from your own private pool on the rooftop terrace.

Commanding views across the Mediterranean, the hotel’s infinity pool sits in front of a stretch of greenery which borders the sandy beach, lined with sun loungers. Close by, behind the pool bar, you’ll also find the children’s pool, with a depth of 40 centimetres. If you’re staying in the cooler months, there’s an indoor pool too, heated in the winter months.
An extra seawater pool (reserved for Spa guests only) can be found at the large AMARA Spa, which is adult-only and infinity style, overlooking the sea. It’s also where you’ll find a striking section of the ancient Limassol city wall, which was uncovered during the hotel’s construction. The spa provides plenty of holistic treatments, with products by Cosmedix and The Organic Pharmacy. Signature services include a steam capsule with colour therapy, a collagen rose diamond facial and a bespoke body scrub, created by a dedicated spa consultant. There’s even a luxury hair salon by BLOWRESORT here, offering a full range of hairdressing and barber services. Choose designer clothes and jewellery from the resort’s boutique shops to complement your holiday makeover.
Fitness-wise, the AMARA Gym offers garden views, the latest Technogym equipment, a nutritionist, personal training, Pilates, spinning, HIIT, yoga and swimming classes. If you prefer keeping fit outside, there’s a fourth-floor tennis court, too.
For families, the supervised kid’s club is open to guests from tots to teens. Ages 3 to 12 can delve into a schedule of activities ranging from face painting to dance and cinema, or play at the outdoor amusement area. A creche provides care for AMARA’s youngest guests, from 4 to 36 months, and if you’re travelling with young children, a selection of childcare items can be requested ahead of your arrival, including highchairs, bottle warmers, baby bathtubs and baby monitors.
