Among Sandy Lane’s carefully manicured 300-acre grounds, you’ll find three golf courses – including the memorable Green Monkey, where golf carts are fitted with GPS systems. Active guests can also play on the hotel’s floodlit tennis and paddle tennis courts and exercise in the contemporary fitness centre on site. At the beach, there is a range of water sports on offer from water skiing to kayaking and Hobie Cat sailing; all non-motorised water sports are complimentary.

When you’re ready to relax, retreat to the resort’s sizable outdoor, multi-level pool, surrounded by picturesque coral-rock walls and a cascading waterfall. You can grab a cocktail from the swim up bar and enjoy music from the modern underwater speakers. The 300-yard-long beach of Sandy Lane isn’t private, but still feels exclusive, since it’s not easy for non-residents to access. However, only hotel guests can reserve sun loungers and water misting. At the beach, mahogany trees provide plenty of shade; and complimentary refreshments, such as sorbet, are readily available. The staff provide full beach service, offering you chilled towels and to clean your sunglasses when you take a dip. 

For a break from the sun, head to the acclaimed Spa at Sandy Lane to indulge in a range of facials, massages and body treatments that incorporate signature aromatherapy products. The spa is comprised of outdoor shower rooms, hydrotherapy pools, a sauna and a steam room. Its eleven soothing treatment rooms come with private gardens and outdoor plunge pools.

The family-friendly resort also caters for children with the Treehouse Club – the perfect hangout for children and teenagers alike, with games, sporting activities and movie viewings. Please note children under the age of three be accompanied by an adult.

Sandy Lane provides four main restaurants with cuisine to suit all palates. The Monkey Club offers relaxed yet eclectic fine dining with cuisine from around the world and stunning sunset views across the bay. The Country Club is a great place to enjoy a laidback lunch, whilst the mire casual Bajan Blue offers sumptuous buffet meals. The Spa Cafe also serves lighter fare; and the property has seven bars, including the glamorous gelato bar and the ornately decorated Monkey Bar.

Please note that The Monkey Club restaurant is unable to accommodate children under the age of five.

Due to the luxurious nature of Sandy Lane, the staff enforce a strict dress code. Pool and beachwear are not allowed in restaurants, and cover-ups should be worn during the day at Bajan Blue, the Beach Bar and throughout the hotel’s public areas. Long trousers and collared shirts must be worn in the restaurants, bars and public areas after 19:30 in the evenings.

Smoking is not permitted in public places in Barbados. At Sandy Lane all indoor areas including guest rooms and balconies, restaurants and bars are designated as non-smoking areas. Smoking is permitted in outdoor locations that include the Upper and Lower Terrace, Bajan Blue Deck, Beach Bar, Beach and Swimming Pool.
