The Royal at Atlantis Paradise Island is an iconic and eye-catching family-friendly hotel renowned for its wealth of facilities, including a large casino and one of the largest waterparks in the world. It boasts the most dramatic architecture at Atlantis, centred around a series of interconnected towers which can be seen from miles around.
The resort is set on a beautiful stretch of beach on Paradise Island, famed for its turquoise waters and white sandy beaches. Paradise Lagoon is around 700 metres away for non-motorised water sports, and there are numerous shops and restaurants on the island. Atlantis Paradise Island is split into five different hotels with The Royal being close to the best pools, a luxury spa and fitness centre, and activities at Dolphin Cay. A free and frequent shuttle transports you around the resort and the nearby golf course. Downtown Nassau, offering more shops, restaurants and historic sights, is a little over a mile away. The resort is 12 miles from Lynden Pindling International Airport.
The Royal features 1,200 rooms and suites (check-in queues can sometimes be long). Accommodation features calm cool blues, pale greys and and bleached woods. Standard rooms, which are bigger than those in the Coral or Beach towers, offer sliding doors with French balconies. Sitting areas, 24-hour room service and flat-screen TVs are among other features.
