Jams in Mexico

In Mexico, The Travel Foundation are changing lives with jam.
Maria and her friends in Chumpon village have been making jams and marmalades from some of the jungle fruits, including papaya and cactus. The Travel Foundation are now working with the ladies to help them sell their produce to a major hotel chain in the Riviera Maya; they are increasing the quality and quantity of their jam production.
Customers now get to try real 'jungle jam' on their toast and these families now have fresh hope for the future.
Tsunami relief in Sri Lanka

In Sri Lanka, The Travel Foundation are helping to rebuild lives after the tsunami.
Kanthi and her family lost everything after a tsunami swept away their home and possessions. Now, with The Travel Foundation's help, they have a new home and are growing their own food thanks to the cassava, mango, coconut and rambutan trees they have received.
The girls, Manel and Kumudu, are learning how to look after their new garden and are looking forward to a much brighter future.
Loans in Tobago

In Tobago, The Travel Foundation are giving revolving loans to get people back on their feet.
Mr Washington lost everything in the hurricane of 2005. He has now rebuilt his 'historical' café and his life. As an older person, he didn't have the resources to do it himself, or to get a traditional loan. With The Travel Foundation's help, he has now reopened the café doors allowing people to step back in time at 'The First Historical Café'.
