| Omniture |
We use Omniture's software to carry out statistical analysis of page use, page interactions and paths through ba.com. This is known as 'web metrics'. We may also record certain information that customers provide during an on site purchase or other process, such as name, email or booking reference. We also capture a customer identifier when Executive Club members or British Airways registered customers log on to ba.com. This information allows us to identify customers and more accurately understand their individual behaviours and needs. This means that we can more easily tailor offers and information which may be of interest to individuals. We will only send marketing emails when customers have given us permission to do so. This information is not passed to third party companies for their use. Our digital marketing agency has access to this along with other British Airways data, to help increase the relevancy of our direct marketing. |
| DoubleClick | Our online advertising supplier, used for the purpose of serving our Internet advertisements on other sites. Some of our web pages may contain electronic images known as web beacons (sometimes known as clear gifs) that allow us to track user interactions on these pages. They may also report back some information to DoubleClick about the interaction performed. |
| Revenue Science | One of our online audience monitors that allow us to track customer actions on ba.com to tailor the advertisements you see on 3rd party sites. The content of these advertisements is influenced by your interactions with ba.com, such as the pages you view, the destinations and offers you show an interest in and the bookings that you make. It may also be influenced by whether you are a member of the British Airways Executive Club. Whilst these adverts are based on your individual interactions with ba.com online, we do not combine information about these interactions with personal information you provide to us during the booking process. If you do not wish to receive such “personalised” advertisements then please refer to Revenue Science privacy policy : http://www.revenuescience.com/privacy.asp.
