The hotel’s pathways wind past low-rise, modernist buildings, lush lawns and fragrant herb gardens, with the lagoon-style pool prominent in centre stage. Sun beds and umbrellas encircle the outdoor heated pool, and pathways lead to the nearby private Blue Flag beach, where you’ll find sunbeds and beachside service. A second indoor pool offers a soothing atmosphere, with large windows overlooking Mediterranean gardens.

For total indulgence visit the D Spa. Enjoy exclusive facial and body treatments by the acclaimed Anne Semonin brand and relax in the steam room and sauna. There are six private treatment rooms, in addition to a couple’s suite with a private steam bath. The spacious fitness centre here also offers modern exercise equipment. Alternatively, you can book a wide range of daily fitness activities in resort, such as guided jogging, Pilates and yoga.

Around Sani Resort, you’ll discover a full range of sports and outdoor activities. There’s the treetop Adventure Park with exhilarating zip line challenges, the Rafael Nadal Tennis Academy and the Sani Sports Centre, where you can play mini-football or beach volleyball. Water sports are on offer at the beach – including paddleboarding, snorkelling, kayaking, water skiing and scuba diving – and archery tuition is available elsewhere, for those over 16 years old.

The Sani Marina Sailing Academy invites guest of all ages to participate in an intensive nine-hour sailing course throughout the week, led by professional instructors (for an additional charge). Younger guests can also enjoy the popular Chelsea FCF Football Academy for an extra fee, if reserved in advance. Explorers can participate in guided birdwatching tours around Sani Wetlands or hire a bike from the KTM Bike Club for a supplement charge. Complimentary olive oil tastings and beekeeping trips are also offered, and a holiday to Sani Resort would not be complete without reserving a place on the complimentary sunset cruise, which departs from Sani Marina.

In the evenings, the open-air Garden Theatre hosts a variety of music and theatre shows – not forgetting the yearly Sani Festival of music and live art. Teens can hang out at the teen lounge – Ozone – and sign up for age-appropriate activities throughout the day. While there’s no kids’ club or kids’ pool at Sani Dunes, you are welcome to use the child-friendly facilities at the sister property, Porto Sani.

The Market restaurant serves breakfast and dinner in a relaxed setting. The seasonal menus incorporate healthy options and vegetarian dishes, and ingredients are sourced locally and sustainably, within a 100-mile radius of the resort. The laid-back, open-plan Beach House overlooks the crystal waters of the Aegean Sea and serves Mediterranean cuisine with a focus on freshly caught seafood and salads. If you fancy something sweet afterwards, look out for the ice cream truck which constantly travels around the resort.

You can experience Italian fine-dining at Fresco restaurant, where you can indulge in the delightful creations of the Michelin-starred chef, Ettore Botrini. Choose from a choice of classic dishes and inventive creations, all made using the high-quality produce. After dinner, head to the upper floor to sample premium wines from renowned wineries.

If you are staying on a half board or full board basis, the Dine Around programme allows you to use your meal allowance at 26 restaurants throughout Sani Resort. You can either select one of the set menus for no additional charge, or order from the a la carte menu, but drinks will be charged as extras with both options. If you decide to order a la carte, the meal allowance amount of €25 per adult and €12.50 per child will be deducted from your total bill. Please note, reservations are always required, whether you pre-book via the Sani Mobile App or contact 8700 once at the hotel.

Buffet dinners are served at Poseidon of Sani Beach and the Olympos restaurant of Sani Club. You can also enjoy dinner at any of the Sani Dunes restaurants (and lunch at the Beach House) or head to the four other resort hotels to dine at select venues. Alternatively, visit Sani Marina for a waterside lunch or dinner, where you can savour Italian flavours at Macaroni, taverna-style cooking at Psaroyannos and Greek fare at Vosporos Grill House, Tomata Restaurant and Ergon Deli. There are a further two dinner-only restaurants at the Marina, including the Japanese Katsu Restaurant and the oriental-inspired Asian restaurant.
