Head to Spa Poz for a wholesome wellness experience. Treatments and products are all natural using locally sourced brand KokoDezil. Each product is vegan, handmade and uses recyclable packaging. Spa amenities include a hammam, relaxing pool, ice fountain, beauty room and relaxation area. 5% of the spa’s profits are donated to Green Attitude Foundation which aims to protect the local environment, economy and communities.

There’s a range of activities whether you want to recharge or blow of some steam. There’s four swimming pools to choose from or you can head to the lagoon for a variety of water sports. Try stand up paddle boarding, water aerobics, glass bottom boat, kayaking, windsurfing, snorkelling or a PADI dive course. On land you’ll find a gym and a tennis court, or you can join in a session of yoga, Thai Chi and more. Fulfilling its mission to encourage local experience the hotel can help arrange a plethora or authentic experiences and local excursions for a truly memorable stay.

Children will love the kids’ club, hosted by Mascot Ayo the Dodo, a bird turned pirate. Each day brings new experiences and adventures from shows, arts and crafts and pool games to boat rides and a treasure hunt on Robinson’s Island (Gran Zil). Travelling with children is easy with cots, changing mats, baby baths, highchairs, baby food and even birthday cake available on request. There’s a dedicated baby changing and feeding room and babysitting is available at a charge.

Dining information

Breakfast is served in the main restaurant “Karay”, the Creole word for a Mauritian kitchen utensil, the counterpart of the “wok” in Chinese kitchens. The three dining areas are widely opened on to the beautiful infinity pool overlooking the beach and lagoon beyond. For breakfast you can choose from croissants, sweet bread, buns and brioches as well as Mauritian delicacies and exotic fruits. Dinner at Karay allows you to taste the various buffet options with a different theme each evening of the week.

Siaw offers a live cooking concept with exclusively Asian Cuisine. It’s night-lit bamboo invites you in to taste the Sino-Mauritan cuisine such as rice noodles, stir-fried beef and lemon grass chicken, mixed up by Wok specialist chef. There’s a selection of starters and desserts as well as delicious “dim sum” served in their bamboo baskets complete this experience. Every second day at 15:00 you will be able to watch or join in a Mauritian cooking demonstration under the supervision of the Chef. Siaw is open only for dinner (closed on Sundays).

Situated on the beach, Lor Disab is the Creole word for “right on the beach”. At lunch grab a quick sandwich, salad or a Mauritian dish, including the “upside down rice bowl” with its signature tomato chutney. Or enjoy an adults only dinner with a local touch. Grand Zil serves up drinks and barbeque while Tadka plates up Indian specialties, with décor likened to the beautiful Sarees worn in India. Feel at home at Kot Nou with genuine Mauritian home cooking or grab a fast-food bite at Taba-J featuring local favourites such as rotis, faratas and dholl puris. Siro Kann is the main hotel bar which offers a range of creations including home-made rum-based cocktails made with fresh fruits.

Please note that swimsuits and pareos are not welcomed in the restaurants. A casual smart dress code is recommended in the restaurants in the evening, shorts are not allowed.

The hotels all-inclusive package provides breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. Locally bottled alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as hot beverages, water, soft, juice, beer, wine by glass, wine by carafe, filter coffee, Mauritian and Chinese tea, cappuccino and espresso are included. The Minibar provides water, beer, soft, juice, dry snacks, coffee and tea making facilities, refilled once per day. Twice during the stay, plated served dinner at Lor Disab Beach Restaurant is available, booking is required. 

Additional information

In response to Coronavirus (COVID-19), there will be thermal temperature screening procedures in place - they will also be in place for children entering the kids’ club. Reservations are required at food and beverage outlets and restaurants will be serving a la carte dishes.

Zilwa Attitude is Travelife Gold certified. They have zero single-use plastic in the guest experience and train staff in eco-responsible actions. Other initiatives include products supplied locally, no motorised water sports and on arrival you’ll receive a reusable Dopper water bottle to use at the hotel’s drinking fountains.
