Our new Booking Portal enables you to sell products directly from British Airways and Iberia.

The Portal is part of our broader range of NDC offerings and is one of many ways an agent can connect to NDC. Other options available are direct integration to our NDC APIs, via an NDC Service Provider or through your GDS.

Background

The British Airways and Iberia Booking Portal offers you off-the-shelf tools, so you can book flight and ancillary products directly from us.

The Booking Portal uses NDC technology and leverages the recent investment we have made in developing this technology further. It will provide you with the current range of NDC capabilities and products.

We have developed a set of cloud-based tools:

TMC tool for Travel Management Companies
Travel Agency Portal for leisure travel agents

Benefits

The British Airways and Iberia Booking Tool is an off-the-shelf and fast way to connect to NDC. It also provides the following benefits:

No connection cost
You connect directly to British Airways & Iberia
Available in English, French and Spanish
A simple, intuitive interface
Can be branded with your logo
All bookings made via the Booking Portal are exempt from the Distribution Technology Charge Capabilities
We provide a standard XML feed for agents to integrate to their mid and back-office systems
You can roll out the tool across many countries

Booking Portal capability

The British Airways and Iberia Booking Portal has the following capabilities:

Book, change and cancel flights for British Airways or Iberia*
Book Corporate, On Business and IT fares (where you currently have access to these fare types)
Hold a booking and pay for it later during the Ticketing Time Limit (if allowed as per fare rules)
Pre-select a seat during booking process or post-sale, and pay for it (if applicable)
Book ancillary products
Define and mandate travel policies
Offer an intuitive consumer-style experience for corporate travellers
Add frequent flyer and On Business numbers to bookings
Easy to run reports (e.g. employee trip report, top 10 spenders, adoption report, duty of care report)
No fare-related ADMs

*Please note: not all capabilities may be available for Iberia at launch
