The resort provides a wide variety of activities for all ages including three resort pools and the incredible Surfari Water Park featuring a dual rider surf simulator, multiple slides and a long lazy river. Take to the 20-acre activity lake for non-motorised water sports, or use the canoes, kayaks and electric motorboats for a spin around this stunning lake surrounded by lush Florida foliage. Take a leisurely stroll along Lake Austin Pier.

For something more active, visit the state-of-the-art cardiovascular gym or take a circuit on the resort’s running track. A Kids Activity Centre will keep younger guests entertained. Meanwhile the Flip Flops Family Fun Centre has a state-of-the-art amusement arcade, prize centre and glow in the dark indoor mini-golf course.

Getting around the resort couldn’t be easier. Use the convenient daily shuttle buses that take guests not only to Disney’s Transportation Centre but also to Universal Orlando Resort. Reservations are required.

There’s a wide variety of dining options to choose from including Valencia Restaurant featuring Southern European cuisine. Serving a breakfast buffet, weekly dinner buffets and specialty buffets, as well as a la carte, this restaurant also has a brick oven serving pizza and flatbreads. A pool deck food service is also operated from here.

Alternatively try the Longboard Bar & Grill inside the Surfari Water Park where you can watch surfers riding the waves while you eat. Enjoy inside or outside seating, beer on tap such as Big Wave Lager and Kahuna Ale, a Hawaiian-style BBQ and traditional continental fare. During winter, Longboard offers outdoor heaters and fireplaces. It’s open every day but hours vary seasonally.

For something more casual the Springs Bar & Grill offers a full food and drink service with poolside menus including appetisers and entrees.

Alfresco Market is a large-scale grab-n-go outlet providing a selection of hot and cold self-serve food, gelato and local ice cream, a barista bar, a deli with fresh-cut Boar’s Head meats and made-to-order sandwiches, as well as grocery-style items ideal for stocking your in-room kitchen.
