What’s happening to the Avios Travel Rewards Programme?
The Avios Travel Rewards Programme in the UK has closed, but don’t worry your Avios balance is safe. If you’re not already a member of a qualifying airline loyalty programme your membership and Avios balance has been moved to the British Airways Executive Club.
Why is this happening?
This is happening to simplify the programme and improve collection and spending opportunities for everyone.
I am a British Airways Executive Club Member and have heard about the changes. Am I impacted by the announcement?
Please don’t worry, Members who don’t have a UK Avios Travel Rewards Programme membership will not be impacted by this announcement.
How will this affect me as an Avios Travel Rewards Programme member?
Don’t worry, you’ll still be able to collect and spend Avios with many of the partners you do today, you’ll just have a new home to do it all from. By now, Avios Group Ltd should have contacted you by email or by letter to inform you of the changes to your account. If you’re not already a member of another qualifying airline loyalty programme, we've created a British Airways Executive Club account for you.
As an Avios Travel Rewards Programme member, do I need to do anything?
In the majority of cases you won’t need to do anything. We have contacted you by email or letter to inform you firstly of your account details and then separately with your activation pin.
I don’t have a British Airways Executive Club account, should I create one now?
There’s no need to do this. One will be set up on your behalf.
I already have a British Airways Executive Club account and you have created a new one for me. What do I do?
Please contact either the Avios or British Airways Call Centre and they will merge the accounts for you.
Will my Avios login work on the British Airways Executive Club?
No, you’ll need to use your British Airways Executive Club details. We've sent details of how to create a new login once your account is set up.
How will I know once my British Airways Executive Club account has been created?
We've sent an email or letter with your Executive Club number and a separate email or letter with your activation pin. Please note you will need to go to ba.com and activate your account using your Executive Club number and pin.
If I need to access my Avios Travel Rewards Programme account, what do I do?
The programme has now closed. You'll need to activate your Executive Club account.
Will I be able to make changes to an existing booking made through the Avios Travel Rewards Programme during and after the move?
Yes, simply use the contact number on your booking confirmation.

What happens if I have opted out but have now changed my mind?
Please call the Avios Travel Rewards Programme on 0344 49 333 49 as soon as possible.
Should I cancel my Avios Travel Rewards Programme account if I have transferred my Avios to my British Airways Executive Club account?
No, you don’t need to cancel your Avios Travel Rewards Programme account. As the programme has closed, we've closed your account for you.
Why can’t I access my Avios Travel Rewards Programme account?
The programme has closed. Unless you’ve opted out, your Avios will have been transferred to your British Airways Executive Club account where you will be able to see your Avios. The British Airways Executive Club has sent you your new account details and instructions on how to activate it.
I’m unable to log in to my Avios Travel Rewards Programme account on avios.com or via the Avios app
Your account has closed and your Avios have been transferred to your British Airways Executive Club account. Log in to your Executive Club account to view your current statement which will show the Avios migrated from your Avios Travel Reward Programme account.
I am unable to transfer my Avios from my Avios Travel Reward Programme account to my British Airways Executive Club account using the Combine my Avios tool

How will I know if my Avios have been transferred to my British Airways Executive Club account, will it show on my statement?
Yes, when you log into your British Airways Executive Club account on ba.com go to Executive Club/Manage my Account. Click on ‘view my statement’. You should then see the balance transferred from your Avios Travel Rewards Programme account stated as ‘Avios - Migrated balance from Avios Programme’.
I don’t know my British Airways Executive Club details/how to log in, how do I get these?
British Airways has contacted you with your new Executive Club account number and instructions on how to get up and running once your Executive Club account was created. Please note you will need to go to ba.com and activate your account by logging in.
I read that the Avios Travel Rewards Programme is closing, but my Avios are still showing on avios.com and I haven’t got a British Airways Executive Club account.
If you are a member of AerClub, Vueling Club or Flybe you will continue to collect and spend Avios with these airline programmes as you do today via avios.com so your Avios Travel Rewards Programme account will remain open. If you would like to continue to collect through an Avios earning Lloyds credit card you will need to set up an Executive Club account. You can join the Executive Club on ba.com and collect with all the available partners via ba.com. Also, once an Executive Club account has been created you will be able to transfer any Avios from your Avios Travel Rewards Programme account using the ‘Combine my Avios’ tool.
I have been awarded 1 additional Avios on the balance I was expecting to see move to my new Executive Club account.
Yes, this is correct as all customers will be getting a 1 Avios award to make them eligible for Reward Flight Saver and to reset their expiry journey.
