For leisure activities, guests are spoilt for choice. Take the complimentary shuttle, running once or twice per hour (depending on the season), down to The Ritz-Carlton Members Beach Club, three miles away. On the stunning Lido Key, this exclusive tropical retreat has a private white sand beach and a beachfront swimming pool.

The hotel extends its concessions to The Ritz-Carlton Members Golf course and Mobil-rated spa offering an extensive fitness facility. There is an entry fee for the spa, unless you meet the treatment price threshold. Try the Lemongrass Bamboo Massage or the hot stones to relax and rejuvenate.

Ritz Kids entertains children aged 5 to 12. Activities are based on the four pillars – water, land, environmental responsibility and culture, covering topics from coral reefs and forests to recycling and sustainability. Just send them off in their play gear with shoes they can kick on and off easily. Pack a swimsuit, spray-on sunscreen and goggles for the pool and they’ll be good to go.

No exception is made for the dining experience. Offering great value for money, Jack Dusty serves Gulf Coast cuisine and affords waterfront views of the marina, both inside and out. Sample Fried Green Tomatoes, Fried Grouper and Lobster Rolls, or sample the cocktail menu. The (very potent) four spirit ‘Siren’ and the showstopping ‘Smoking Jacket’ (which overflows with smoke) are the most intriguing contenders. You’ll also be spoilt for choice at The Ritz-Carlton Beach Club. Look out for the Ridley’s Porch Daily Inspiration and the signature Seafood Pasta at one of only a few beach side restaurants in Sarasota. Or try some lighter bites at the Lido Key Tiki Bar, before enjoying a memorable sundowner and catching a glimpse of wild dolphins if you’re lucky. At the Golf Club you can place your lunch order at the call box on the 9th tee and it’ll be waiting for your arrival at Turn Grill.

The Ritz Carlton Sarasota is situated along the marina rather than on the beach. The Ritz-Carlton Members Beach Club is three miles from the hotel in Lido Key with complimentary transportation to and from the hotel to the Beach Club.
