The resort is located on the northern tip of Mauritius. It's in the village of Grand Baie, known for its sandy namesake beach in a sheltered cove as well as plethora of shopping, drinking and dining opportunities. One of the oldest botanical gardens in the southern hemisphere, Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanic Garden, is 10 miles away and the island’s capital of Port Louis is 18 miles south. Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport is 44 miles away on the opposite side of the island – roughly an hour and 20 minutes’ transfer.
Tastefully decorated, Veranda Grand Baie combines a good variety of facilities with simple yet charming accommodation. Wicker and hardwood furniture complements brightly coloured soft furnishings.
