Antique accents combine with modern touches in this former 17th Century palace, located in the heart of Lisbon. Just metres from the Church of Saint Sebastian, the hotel sits in the Avenidas Novas area in central Lisbon. It’s a more modern part of the city, home to plenty of shops as well as one of the city’s most popular museums, the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum. The hotel is roughly 500 metres from the nearest metro station, Sao Sebastiao. Hop aboard to reach the historic centre or the tree-lined Avenida da Liberdade (known for its luxury shops and architecture), and the Santa Justa Lift. Lisbon Airport, or Humberto Delgado Airport, is four and a half miles north.
Beyond the wood-panelled lobby, Standard and Superior rooms feature neutral decor, sometimes brightened with patterned autumnal orange accents, with the latter benefitting from a balcony with city views. Located in the historic area of the hotel, Palace rooms are decorated in cream tones, with swagged curtains and bed canopies referencing the building’s luxurious past. Suites offer the most space, with design like Standard and Superior rooms, enjoying additional seating areas.
