In the immediate vicinity, there’s a local mini-market and restaurant, but most of Punta Cana’s attractions are best reached by car. The celebrated Punta Blanca Golf Club is just under 12 miles away from the hotel. The Pirate Rum Factory and Taino Cave attraction lies only 20 miles away – as does Bavaro Adventure Park, where there’s the opportunity to rope climb, zip line and mountain bike. The less developed island of Saona is also reachable via car and boat ride. Punta Cana International Airport is conveniently just a 25-mile drive away.

The stunning beachfront is a real highlight of the resort, offering plenty of space to relax, play and enjoy the calm turquoise waters. You can relax on a plush lounger, comfortably in the shade from a thatched umbrella. When you want to play, try one of the non-motorised water sports are available: kayaking, windsurfing and cruising on a catamaran. An introductory scuba diving session is also included with each stay.
There’s a wealth of activities and entertainment for guests of all ages, including kids, teens and tweens with the supervised Explorer’s Club for Kids with Red Cross certified staff and Core Zone Teens Club. The hotel has six stunning swimming pools, including an infinity pool, two pools exclusively for Preferred Club guests, and a Family Fun pool with water slides and a lazy river. When the sun goes down, there are big screen movies on the beach and live nightly entertainment at the open-air theatre.
Adults at Dreams Onyx Resort & Spa have full access to the sister property next door, Breathless Punta Cana, which includes a casino, Spa by Pevonia and a fitness centre. There’s also a 24-hour gym which offers free training sessions and fitness classes. Yoga, Zumba and aqua aerobics sessions are also often on the timetable whilst tennis clinics and basketball or paddle courts are available to use on site.

Dreams Onyx Resort & Spa offers incredibly varied dining options including a la carte restaurants, a buffet, café, beachside grill, ice cream parlour, burger place and a Teppanyaki restaurant. All restaurant openings rotate throughout the week and the number of restaurants open depends upon occupancy level. No reservations are required. Throughout the day or after dinner, enjoy refreshing mixes in one of the various bars and lounges which serve unlimited premium international and domestic brand beverages. You'll even find a sports bar, perfect for catching all the action on the big screen. An elegant restaurant, specific selections within all resort bars and three dedicated bars are exclusively reserved for Club guests.

Most restaurants have a casual dress code. This means that you can wear long shorts, sandals and trainers. Swimwear must remain covered, and men should wear shirts with sleeves. The formal dress code at Bordeaux means that men are expected to wear full-length trousers, collared shirts and dress shoes. Women can wear blouses, shirts, trousers or dresses with dress shoes.
We strongly recommend that transfers are booked in this destination. Transfers must be booked as additional items, for which separate vouchers will be required.
