The resort’s sports facilities include football fields, multiple tennis courts, a basketball court, two boules courts and a mini-golf course. You can also enjoy a game of beach volleyball or beach tennis, take up archery, join an aqua aerobics class and swim in the Olympic-sized pool. For a supplementary charge, hire a bike to the explore the destination, learn new skills at the Paddle School or book a specialist course at the Tanka Bike School.

Children have their own activity clubs, a freshwater paddling pool and a dedicated kids’ restaurant. The complimentary kids’ clubs, run by childcare professionals, cater for children between the ages of 3 and 17 years old. Little ones can happily play indoors or outdoors, or participate in supervised sports, dancing, creative crafts and team games. Teenagers can hang out at the Young Club, which provides sports and entertainment programmes, as well as a hub with a TV, video games and Wi-Fi. There’s also a specialist nursery for babies and the Cagliari Football Club Summer School (for juniors between 5 and 13 years of age), both of which are subject to reservations and additional charges. In the evenings, the whole family can watch colourful shows and musicals in the open-air theatre.

Simius Beach is covered in fine white sand, gently sloping towards the calm sea. It is the perfect place for beach games, romantic walks and safe water swimming. You can rent sunbeds, deck chairs and parasols at the beach for an extra cost, and some water sports, like kayaking, sailing and diving, are also available for a supplementary fee.

Set in the verdant gardens, the Tanka Spa is a peaceful oasis enhanced by three hydromassage pools, a sauna, a Turkish bath, a relaxation area and sensory showers. You can book a variety of treatments for an additional charge − including shiatsu and Ayurveda massages, soothing facials and beauty treatments – and there’s a well-equipped gym where you can participate in stretching and aerobic workouts.

A resort train runs around the resort as scheduled times, and a discounted shuttle service is available to the nearby golf course. The concierge team can also book excursions and boat trips for a supplementary charge. There is a charging station for electric cars and an electric

car for hire at the VOI Tanka Village. You'll also notice a recycling depot onsite, to raise awareness of the recycling

of materials in resort.

The main buffet-style restaurant, Oasys, lies in the village area of the resort, immersed in the natural landscape. Savour a range of international and local dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner, alongside a tempting selection of hors d’oeuvres, cheeses, salads and desserts. You can also dine on the fabulous panoramic terrace at Mirto, overlooking the resort’s central square and the Mediterranean Sea. This restaurant offers a delightful breakfast, with sweet and savoury options, and the delicious buffet dinners cover seasonal dishes, grilled delicacies and authentic Sardinian cuisine.

For a light lunch or dinner, head to Giardino dei sapori Poke & Grill, where you can relish light snacks and gourmet dishes, in addition to refreshing aperitifs. Alternatively, La Pizzeria prepares wonderful woodfired pizzas with a variety of toppings, with a bar close at hand, while the Botanist Café in the main square serves fresh sandwiches, salads and organic vegan fare for lunch. The Stella di Mare Restaurant and BBQ is next to the beach, specialising in grilled a la carte meals, and The Ice Cream Shop is the place to order sweet treats such as gelato, smoothies and fresh fruit.

At the Cucciolo restaurant, children can enjoy nutritious lunches or dinners with kids’ club staff, while Biberoneria is designed for parents with babies, offering changing tables and a kitchenette where you can prepare baby food.
