The hotel’s main swimming pool is set within landscaped tropical gardens where you’ll find sun loungers and parasols for total relaxation. Steps away from the resort is the sandy Bavaro Beach where you can take a dip in the Caribbean Sea. Play a round of golf at the Cocotal Golf & Country Club, workout in the YHI Moves & Wellness gym - located next to the main pool - or get involved in the incredible variety of activities including windsurfing, tennis and diving. Meander around the resort on one of their bikes and frequent the many relaxation areas – perfect for reading a book, practicing yoga or simply listening to the birds. 

Indulge in the 360 wellbeing experience at YHI spa. Explore five spaces dedicated to different wellness disciplines – social, sensory, silence, culinary and personal space. Each space promotes a programme of activities from group cycling in the social space to healthy snacks and freshly squeezed juice in the culinary space. Spa facilities include a pool with jets, relaxation beds, a sauna, steam room and a Jacuzzi. There’s seven treatment suites with private outdoor showers and three couples suite with Jacuzzis.

If you do feel the need to leave the resort, you can indulge in a spot of shopping at the Palma Real Shopping Village. Don’t worry about buying too much, there is a shuttle service between the Village and the Meliá Punta Cana Beach lobby.

Mosaico offers international buffets with show cooking, and you’ll also find international buffets on the beach at Serendipia. Explore Vietnamese-inspired cuisine at Muoi, tuck into Mediterranean fare at Mar de Sal and indulge in Asian fusion dishes at Hokkaido (charges apply). If you’re staying in The Level accommodation, you can enjoy exclusive dining at Quimera and Calathea.

For poolside refreshments during the daytime, head to the Pool Bar, or visit Barefoot if you’re chilling on the beach. Indoors, Elyxr bar offers a relaxed atmosphere in the lobby, Balance Bar & Juice Boutique proffers healthy drinks and Muse is the place to socialise. Before dinner, Jigger Bar serves cocktails in between Mar de Sal and Muoi restaurants. Quimera Rooftop Bar is the place to go for healthy refreshments and sea views if you’re staying in The Level accommodation.
