Our Customer Promise commitment means that you can change your dates or cancel for a refund should your holiday be impacted by major travel restrictions. Additional flexibility is also available for eligible bookings made prior to 8 June 2022.

If your flight (as part of a British Airways Holidays booking) or accomodation is cancelled there are several options for you.
If you booked before 8 June 2022 and your travel is due to be completed by 30 September 2022 and you would like to change your holiday (flight +hotel and/or car hire) booking you can choose from one of the following options:
Date changes must be made, or cancellation (in exchange for a voucher) must be requested prior to travel, either 3 weeks in advance (if booked before 16 December 2021) or 28 days in advance (if booked on or after 16 December 2021).
If you cannot meet the eligibility requirements required to change/cancel, have booked on or after 8 June 2022 or are travelling from 1 October 2022 onwards, standard amendment and cancellation conditions apply find out more.
If your request meets the eligibility criteria, you will receive your voucher (in the form of voucher credit) by email within 14 days of your application.

What is a major travel restriction?
A major travel restriction is the occurrence of one or more of the following after placing your booking:

If you booked before 8 June 2022 (for travel to be completed by 30 September 2022) and you test positive for COVID-19 or another individual on your booking tests positive for COVID-19 within 2 weeks before your outbound flight, you can submit a request to cancel your original booking and request a voucher. Supporting evidence of a positive COVID-19 test is required.
Please ensure you submit your request within 48 hours of receiving a positive result. Eligibility criteria applies, please see Terms and Conditions.

Vouchers can be used as payment, or part payment, for a future British Airways Holidays booking. Your new trip booked with your voucher must be fully completed by 30 September 2023 (departure and return). To use your British Airways Holidays voucher, please see instructions on your voucher confirmation email.
If you flight has been cancelled as part of your British Airways Holidays booking you have several options;
We are currently refunding British Airways Holidays vouchers that are two or more years old. If you have unspent British Airways Holidays or flight vouchers, the original terms and conditions still apply and we are unable to accept refund requests.
