Ibiza’s airport lies just five miles from Ibiza Town and is connected to it by a regular bus service, which costs about €3.50 per journey. Buses run between the island’s major towns, such as San Antonio and Santa Eulalia. However, Ibiza’s small size means that taxis are relatively affordable even for longer distances across the island. Expect to pay only €15-30 for most journeys – but be warned, queues during the summer months can be quite long. Alternatively, hire a car to drive to your hotel and enjoy the island in your own time.
If you are travelling on a European Union passport then you currently do not need a visa to visit Ibiza. Ibiza is recognised as Spanish territory, and therefore travel restrictions are the same as they are on mainland Spain.

In Ibiza tipping is not mandatory; but because tourists frequent the area, tipping is often expected for good service. When you dine in a restaurant, a 10% tip will suffice. For drinks at the bar, simply round up the price. Include tips for taxi drivers, your hotel cleaners and additional hotel staff in your budget.
There is always a beach to enjoy in Ibiza. Swimming and sandy beach strolls aside, you can also make your way to the old Ibiza Town. Here you can wander through the narrow, cobbled streets and admire the medieval architecture without spending a cent.
