The beautiful blooms of Madeira Botanical Garden are around 2.5 miles away, while the lively farmer’s market Mercado dos Lavradores is just over a mile away. Monte Palace Madeira, with its museum and oriental gardens, lies four miles inland, while the impressive Funchal Cathedral sits less than one mile away. You can also have fun trying out the island’s seven Telefericos, or scenic cable cars, that connect some of Madeira’s steepest climbs. Madeira International Airport is 18 miles away.
