Avali Mar-bella Collection is a laid-back, all-inclusive, beachfront property aimed at adults, couples and solo travellers. The resort is located on the south-east corner of Corfu, rising above the island's east coast-road tunnel at Ágios Ioánnis Peristerón. This bustling area is abound with local charm, and the mountainous scenery is stunning. There are a few hotels, tavernas and bars in the vicinity, as well as pebbly beaches. You can visit the neighbouring coastal town of Moraitika, less than three miles away, or head 12 miles northwards to the bustling Corfu Town, famed for its UNESCO-protected streets and Venetian architecture. Corfu International Airport is slightly nearer, around ten and a half miles from the hotel.
Each room is delightfully appointed with pared-back decor, wooden furnishings and marshmallow-soft beds. Expect calming neutrals, clean lines and a few tasteful accents adding a touch of Boheme – think stripey cushions, groovy headboards and textural dried plants in vases. Standard Double Rooms come with mountain views, although an upgrade to a sea view is well worth it. Deluxe Double Rooms have added space, as do Junior Suites which also benefit from luxurious extras.
