How long does it take to fly to Bodrum from London?

Turkish is the official language of Bodrum and English and German are widely spoken in more popular tourist locations. Whilst you don’t need to master the Turkish language for your holiday, learning a few basic words and greetings will be appreciated and it can come in handy if you travel to remoter parts.
Bodrum Peninsula is home to a bounty of beautiful beaches, some of which can be reached by boat or car. Kumbahce is the closest to Bodrum centre, with convenient eateries along the picturesque waterside. Gumbet is a popular choice for families and Bitez bay is a peaceful location which is ideal for sunbathers. Yahsi Shahil is the longest beach and a well-known spot to watch the sunset. The eponymous Camel Beach is close by, but it can get crowded during peak periods.
With its Mediterranean climate, Bodrum typically experiences hot and humid summers which are perfect for beach days. The hottest and driest months to visit are from June to September. Winters are fairly mild, with January and February being the coolest months of the year on average. December often has the highest rainfall so be sure to pack waterproofs if you’re visiting Bodrum at this time of year.
