Locanda Vivaldi, named after the famous composer who used to own the building, is a small and intimate boutique hotel, with a homely feel. This family-run hotel offers a peaceful retreat in Venice’s bustling centre, with attentive staff, traditional decor and a rooftop terrace with stunning views over St Mark’s basin.
Sat on the waterfront promenade of Riva degli Schiavoni, the hotel is a stone’s throw from St Mark’s Square. Stay here in the heart of Venice and St Mark’s Basilica, Palazzo Ducale and the Bridge of Sighs will all be within 500 metres. The charming Castello District is behind the hotel, and many more iconic sights are within walking distance. Arrive at the hotel’s private water taxi dock or catch a water taxi from the nearby stops. The ferry from Venice Marco Polo airport to Rialto takes about an hour, and requires 10 to 15 minutes of walking time on either side.
Rooms are each unique in layout and furnishings, though all are decorated in a traditional Venetian style, with elaborately patterned textiles and warm colours.
