Around the pristine grounds there’s a lagoon-style pool with a swim-up bar, a large heated pool and separate paddling pools for children and toddlers. All are beautifully landscaped – furnished with comfortable sunbeds and umbrellas – and you can take advantage of the attentive service by the pool or on the beach. The beach offers 450 metres of golden sand, and there’s a complimentary Babewatch childcare service, which gives parents the chance to enjoy 30 minutes of uninterrupted sunbathing time.
Another heated indoor-outdoor pool is located at the Ikos Spa, overlooking the lush gardens, and it’s exclusively for those aged16and up. The spa presents the perfect opportunity to relax and rejuvenate with seven private treatment rooms – including a couples’ suite. Here, fully qualified therapists use professional products by Anne Semonin for their facials and massages. There’s also a steam bath and sauna, as well as a modern fitness studio.
While parents unwind, children can spend time at the complimentary Heroes Kids Club and the seasonal Just4Teens club. Beachside pirate parties, mini discos, games and water sports will fully entertain little guests; and young football enthusiasts can join expert-led sessions at the Football Academy. Even babies, from as young as six months old, will be well cared for at the Heroes Creche (please note the football academy and creche are subject to booking and require supplementary charges). In the evenings, book your little ones (aged 4 to 12) in at the Heroes Supper Club (additional charge and subject to availability). Whilst here, they’ll enjoy tasty buffet bites, followed by some supervised, post-dinner playtime.
The many activities on offer around the resort include non-motorised water sports, mountain biking and tennis. You can take part in a range of fitness classes – such as yoga, aqua aerobics and Zumba – or play beach volleyball, basketball, water polo and mini-football. You can also book a range of private excursions or motorised water sports for an extra charge. For those eager to explore, the resort also offers complimentary electric-vehicle rentals, with one day included for standard guests and two days for those in Deluxe Collection accommodation. As the sun sets, sit back and enjoy everything from musical shows to movies at the Ikos Theatre.

Flavors is an excellent buffet-style restaurant that serves Mediterranean specialities for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The impressive selection of dishes is made with fresh local ingredients, and there’s a fabulous choice of wines to accompany your meal. After your meal, mixologists can create your favourite cocktails – or whip up a new creation to suit your tastes – at one of the six hotel bars. Potami is a stylish spot for a sip - order from a menu of fabulous drinks and snacks all-day long.
