Flying to Kiev

Fly to Kiev from London and explore one of the oldest cities in Eastern Europe. The city’s dramatic setting on the river Dnieper and its mix of architecture from many centuries make Kiev a particularly interesting destination for a city break.

Photogenic spots such as the Andriyivskyy Descent’s winding lane and the pepper pot towers of the reconstructed St Michael’s Golden-Domed Monastery make the city one of the most beautiful in the former Soviet Union, while the lavish opera house and the cafes and bars of central Kreschatik Street keeps things busy in the evenings. You can also use Flights to Kiev to access the city’s wider region, an area little visited by international tourists. The nuclear disaster site of Chernobyl and the adjoining ghost city of Pripyat are both easy to visit by day trip from Kiev, while further to the southwest is the medieval clifftop fortress of Kamianets Podilskyi, named in 2007 as one of the seven wonders of Ukraine.
