Set just in front of the lake, bordered by white sun loungers and umbrellas, the semi-circle sand-bottom pool provides a unique spot for relaxation. Towering palms surround the two other pools, which are linked by a sunbathing bridge. The award-winning adult-only Soma Spa offers invigorating Turkish and Roman baths as well as Greek-inspired therapies combined with products by renowned brand Elemis. Here you’ll also find an indoor pool, relaxation garden and gym. Fitness classes take place on the lake pergola, as do sunrise yoga sessions. There's also a dedicated beauty salon offering a menu of treatments including manicures and pedicures.

Walk or cycle alongside olive, almond and fig trees on the resort’s nature trails, which span five kilometres. Otherwise, cruise around the resort lake in a pedalo or canoe, and continue your exploration of the Algarve with olive oil and wine tasting experiences. Six stunning golf courses, including the Dom Pedro Old Course, Dom Pedro Millennium, Victoria, Pinhal and Laguna golf courses, are all within 12 miles of the resort and accessible via the resort's complimentary shuttle. The concierge team are also on hand to assist with booking tee times, local restaurant reservations and nearby island excursions. You'll also find a mini multi-sports court at the resort.

Younger guests can retreat to the free kids’ club, which provides Ofsted-standard supervision. They can also plant their own flowers and herbs, while learning about healthy eating and sustainability at the KiEPOS learning garden. There’s also a creche available (at an extra charge) for little ones aged 4 months to 4 years old.

Start your day with a tempting buffet breakfast at Gustatio Restaurant, which also serves Portuguese comfort food and showstopping desserts. Tuck into Greek seafood paired with a carefully selected list of Greek wines at the Topos restaurant, led by Executive Chef Dionysios Pliatsikas. Sat atop the water, BLEND Nikkei offers a tempting tasting menu featuring fresh sushi and steaks. Blending the bold flavours of Peru and Japan, this restaurant serves up a delightfully original dining experience that’s seriously memorable. Dine at Acosta by Olivier Algarve, for the freshest fish dishes crafted with premium Portuguese ingredients and modern culinary flare. This beachside eatery sits directly on the beach Praia de Falesia. Open daily, it’s the perfect spot for a breezy lunch or dinner. Please note, reservations are required and can be made via the hotel's Guest Relations team. Perched right on the beach with stunning sunset views, the Sora Food Truck (open from the 1st June 2024 until 30th September 2024) offers a relaxed, one-of-a-kind dining experience, serving up tasty sushi and light bites. Centrally located between pools, the Estrella World Street Food serves up the best of Greek and Portuguese flavours with a fabulously indulgent street food-style menu to the pool bar at Domes Lake Algarve.

If you upgrade to the Haute Living Half Board supplement you will have access to the Haute Living areas, including the exclusive Haute Living lounge. Enjoy a variety of upgraded services here including daily access to the lounge from 10:00 until 23:00, dedicated concierge staff and full use of tablets, magazines, coffee table books, computer workstations (upon request) and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi. The Haute Living Half Board supplement additionally includes all-day hot and cold snacks, fruits, salads, traditional delicacies, teas, coffees, a branded selection of wines, beers, spirits and cocktails alongside soft drinks and juices. A daily American buffet breakfast and a daily international buffet dinner, both served in the Gustatio Restaurant (main restaurant), are available with this upgrade. Please note that drinks are not included. For those staying for five nights or more in the Haute Living Selection accommodation an a la carte Dine Around concept (some menu items excluded) is also included, where you can dine in any hotel restaurant of your choice (pre booking required, beach restaurant excluded). If you’re staying in Haute Living Selection accommodation for a minimum five nights, you’ll additionally enjoy access to one three-course a la carte dinner and for a minimum 10 nights’ stay, you can enjoy two, three-course dinners. If you wish, you can also swap your a la carte evening meal for an a la carte lunch (three-course) at Estrella Pool Bar instead (bookings required and subject to availability). As part of your package, you'll also receive a credit of EUR 20 (per person, per day) to spend in any of the resort's other restaurants (excluding the beach restaurant).

Please note that during winter/low season, subject to varying factors such as occupancy levels, weather conditions or other variables, the resort may substitute Gustatio Restaurant with another alternative and Half Board buffet dinner, with a three-course set menu instead (two options per dish, non-allergenic/food intolerance options available on request). In addition, open air venues (Apricus Pool Bar/Makris On The Lake restaurant/Sora Beach) will not operate for winter/low season due to weather conditions.

A rebrand planned for 2024 will see 'Makris on the Lake' will be rebranded as 'Yaosai' (offering Asian-style cuisine), the 'Sora Beach Bar Restaurant' rebranded as 'Olivier do Mar', and the food Truck (located by the adult-only pool) rebranded as 'Well Sushi'.
