This family-friendly resort is overflowing with ways to fill your time. Verduland is a lively space dedicated to babies (0 to 3 years) and kids (4 to 12 years), offering an array of sports and activities, overseen by a specialised team and Verdu – the hedgehog mascot. In addition, you have access to an impressive range of baby equipment including cots, night lamps, crockery, high chairs, baby bath products, hooded towels and even rubber ducks. Kids will love the playground, children’s pool and indoor play area, plus the hotel hosts a great selection of activities including cooking lessons, water sports, tennis, golf, football, volleyball, beach games and much more. You Club is a dedicated space for young adults to hang out moreover, the Juventus Academy is held during the summer months for football enthusiasts, or you can try Muay Thai (Thai boxing) under the guidance of the professional Sicilian coach, fencing or karate.

An area of 4,000 m2 is dedicated to the stunning Irene Forte Spa, set around an open-air courtyard, among the palms, orange groves and olive trees. Advanced facials and body treatments which, alongside the relaxing and indulgent therapies, are all carried out by an expert team of therapists, using the bespoke Irene Forte skincare range. In addition, the spa offers an indoor lap pool, Finnish saunas to improve the immune system and blood circulation, a hair and beauty salon and four thalassotherapy circuit pools, known for their healing qualities. Free weights and Technogym weight machines, along with a full range of Technogym cardio equipment can be found at the gym, or you can join daily fitness classes in the fitness studio, jog, trek or cycling around the charming trails that meander through the resort’s olive, orange and lemon trees or arrange a personal training session.

The hotel also boasts two 18-hole championship golf courses and a nine-hole par-3 course, positioned along the stunning coastal scenery at Verdura. Each course provides challenges against an incredible backdrop, whether you’re looking to learn from a PGA-qualified professional or polish your golfing skills on the fairways. Elsewhere, you can sign up to the in-house culinary school, learning how to prepare sensational Sicilian pizza and pasta, or take a gastronomic journey through the vegetable garden – La Casetta nell’Orto – followed by a cooking class, culminating in a Sicilian feast for the senses. Salsa and Bachata classes are available, or you can take a seat on the ‘insider tour’, exploring the hidden side of Sicily.

Breakfast is served at Buongiorno, situated beside the infinity pool and boasting views of the Mediterranean. There’s a spacious, light-flooded indoor dining room as well as a large outdoor terrace. Order a freshly made omelette from the chef’s station or indulge in a Sicilian treat of granita, made from fruits produced on the Verdura estate. Freshly baked cakes and pastries are plentiful, as are local cured meats and cheeses, accompanied by a glass of freshly squeezed juice from the Verdura oranges. Located on the beachfront is Amare, the hotel’s seafood restaurant. Be sure to try the restaurant’s specialty, ‘crudo’ – served for generations in Sicilian fishing villages, consisting of thinly sliced catch of the day with extra virgin olive oil, citrus fruits and a pinch of rock salt. Liola is the hotel’s relaxed and rustic Sicilian trattoria, where simple but tempting dishes are served al fresco, offering stunning clifftop views over the sea. For a more intimate atmosphere, head over to Zagara for an outstanding menu, showcasing the natural produce of the island. Mozzarella, tomato and basil, raw red prawn tartare, tagliolini with squid and sage and traditional tiramisu are accompanied by a fine selection of Sicilian and international wines.

The Granita Bar is open throughout the day for tapas-style Mediterranean dishes and regional specialties, alongside a range of expertly mixed cocktails that are unique to Verdura. While, the Pool Bar offers a tasty selection of classic comforts during the day, to refreshing drinks, live music and dancing in the evening.
