Mango Bay is located on the tranquil beachfront of one of Barbados's larger west coast towns, Holetown, which has a good selection of restaurants, bars and boutiques. This sought-after location is very close to the luxury Limegrove Shopping Centre (100 metres away) and it’s only a seven-mile drive to historic Bridgetown, the island’s capital city. In just under 11 miles, you can reach Grantley Adams International Airport. Other local highlights include Petra Gardens, (half a mile on foot) Sandy Lane’s Old Nine Golf Course (just over a mile’s distance) and Harrison’s Cave (just under six miles away).
The hotel’s hacienda style exterior marks it out as individual among Barbados hotels. Its interiors are elegant and stylish, giving the hotel a cool, relaxed ambience. You’ll find 76 tasteful rooms spread across the main building or in the separate block, all of which feature a private balcony or patio area. Also find mini-fridges, iPod docks, air-conditioning, tea and coffee making facilities and free Wi-Fi.
Standard Rooms are simple in design and face the manicured gardens or lie at the front of the hotel. This does mean that they can be affected by noise from the bars and restaurants from time to time. Standard One Bedroom apartments are ideal for families as there’s a separate living room and bedroom space. This block of rooms has a separate pool which may be used by guests of Mango Bay who are registered in one of these six units. However, the standard block does not feature a lift, so anyone with mobility issues or young children might want to upgrade . For a more peaceful setting with optimal views, choose an Oceanfront Room which runs parallel to be beachfront.

In addition to water skiing, kayaking, snorkelling and hobie cat sailing, there are complimentary catamaran cruise tours on offer (for each person, per stay). This presents a chance to see hawksbill and leatherback turtles in their natural environment. These tours are understandably popular, so reserving a trip is advised during the peak season. If you’re feeling energetic but want a break from the sun, there’s also an on-site fitness centre.

Serving all meals, you’ll find a mixture of buffet and a la carte menus which contain fusions of Caribbean and Western cuisine. Typical mealtime dishes include meaty steaks, fresh seafood or the traditional coconut cream pie. The friendly staff are happy to facilitate specific dietary requirements. A spacious decking area enjoys picturesque views across the white beach and there’s live evening entertainment each night. Enjoy the popular weekly BBQ evenings, followed by refreshing drinks at the bar which is located just next to the restaurant.

Mango Bay’s dress code is casual in the daytime – cover-ups are required in the restaurant for breakfast and lunch and footwear is required at all times. The evening dress code is smart casual. Gentleman may wear smart dress shorts or smart jeans, and short sleeved shirts, including polo shirts, at dinner. No flip flops, trainers, sports replica shirts or club branded merchandise should be worn in the restaurant in the evening. Please note, at select events and on Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve, full length trousers and shirts with long or short sleeves are required for gentlemen, and jeans, three-quarter length trousers or cargo trousers should not be worn by ladies or gentlemen.
If you wish to snorkel during your stay, you are advised to bring your own snorkelling equipment with you.
