E-Ticket re-issue with residual value

  • when bookings require same day ticketing

Ticketing agent will need to call our trade support team during office hours and at least 2 hours before we close. Check BA travel trade for current opening hours. Before you call ensure your fare quote including all taxes, fees & charges, as well as the fare construction line, tax breakdown, fare basis and baggage concept are entered in OSI field.

Please use this form if your GDS provider does not support the functionality to issue NON REFUNDABLE RESIDUAL VALUE EMD (RSVT D/99I).

British Airways will re-issue the ticket for you and create EMD for residual amount. This EMD is non-refundable and can only be used as payment towards future transportation not any ancillary service. Any residual value EMD ('credit' given under this policy) will have validity until 30th September 2023.

EMD must be used and travel must be completed by 30th September 2023.

This service is available during trade support office hours check British Airways travel trade.

Before completing this form, the following requirements must be followed:

  • This form is to be completed in English only.
  • Traveller name on new PNR and original ticket must be the same unless you are applying our name change policy for corporate or On business traveller
  • Flight dates must be correctly booked as per policy
  • COVID keyword must be added to the new PNR as per policy
  • Original ticket numbers to be included as an OSI in the new PNR
  • New fare quote including all taxes, fees & charges, as well as the fare construction line, tax breakdown, fare basis and baggage concept to be included in OSI
  • Mandatory secure flight passenger data (SFPD) required for US & Canada flights (SSR DOCS element) which will allow tickets to be re-issued

Requests containing inaccurate information or are that not eligible under Book with Confidence & flexibility for existing bookings policy, will be rejected via SSR messages in the PNR.

It is the responsibility of the IATA ticketing agent to complete this form and in doing so agrees to grant British Airways the authority to reissue the travellers ticket in accordance with the details provided.

If the ticketing agent and booking agent are not the same, the booking agent must insert the mandatory OSI stating the ticketing agency name and IATA number at the time the new itinerary is booked.

This form must be submitted the same day the booking is made to enable us to complete the ticketing within time limit. British Airways cannot be held responsible for bookings that cancel due to inaccurate information or late submission of this form.

We will respond to your request within 48hrs (during office hours) and confirmation of re-issued ticket and EMD RSVT will be advised in the PNR through SSR message.

British Airways has activated in all GDS the ability to allow agencies to have access to airline exchanged documents provided they are the issuer of the original document.
