Lounge eligibility
You can enjoy our dedicated British Airways departure lounges and partner lounges if you are:
- flying on a scheduled British Airways flight in First, business (Club World) or business (Club Europe)
- a Silver or Gold Member* of the British Airways Executive Club on a scheduled flight operated by British Airways or one of our oneworld® partners
- an Emerald or Sapphire member* of any of the oneworld airline frequent flyer programmes on a scheduled flight operated by British Airways or one of our oneworld partners
- over the age of 18 years, or if under 18 years you are accompanied by a responsible adult. (Local laws relating to the consumption of alcohol will apply.)
Please note: All lounge access is subject to capacity restrictions.

Business eligibility
The lounges are available for customers who are:
- flying on a scheduled British Airways flight in First or business (Club World or Club Europe)
- a Silver or Gold Member of the British Airways Executive Club on a scheduled flight operated by British Airways or one of our oneworld partners
- a Sapphire or Emerald member of any of the oneworld airline frequent flyer programmes on a scheduled flight operated by British Airways or one of our oneworld partners
- over the age of 18 years, or if under 18 years you are accompanied by a responsible adult. (Local laws relating to the consumption of alcohol will apply.)
As a Sapphire or Emerald member you are welcome to invite one single guest per each departing flight to join you in the lounge. (Guest must be travelling on British Airways or one of our oneworld partners). All lounge access is subject to capacity restrictions.
First eligibility
The First lounges are available for customers who are:
- flying on a scheduled British Airways flight in First
- a Gold Member of the British Airways Executive Club on a scheduled flight operated by British Airways or one of our oneworld partners
- an Emerald member of any of the oneworld airline frequent flyer programmes on a scheduled flight operated by British Airways or one of our oneworld partners
- over the age of 18 years, or if under 18 years you are accompanied by a responsible adult. (Local laws relating to the consumption of alcohol will apply.)
- access to the BAR at Singapore is restricted to guests travelling in our First cabin.
As an Emerald member, you are welcome to invite one single guest per each departure flight to join you in the First lounge. (Guest must be travelling on British Airways or one of our oneworld partners).
The Concorde Room at London Heathrow Terminal 5 is available for customers who are:
- Flying on a scheduled British Airways flight in First
- Over the age of 18 years, or if under 18 years you are accompanied by a responsible adult. (Local laws relating to the consumption of alcohol will apply.)
The Chelsea lounge at New York JFK Terminal 8 is available for customers who are:
- Flying on a scheduled long haul or Transcontinental flight with British Airways or American Airlines in First
- Gold Members with 5000 Tier points (and 3,000 Tier Points each year thereafter), flying on a scheduled long haul, or Transcontinental flight with British Airways or American Airlines
- Over the age of 18 years, or if under 18 years you are accompanied by a responsible adult. (Local laws relating to the consumption of alcohol will apply.)
American Airlines Transcontinental routes include:
New York (JFK) - Los Angeles (LAX)
New York (JFK) - San Francisco (SFO)
New York (JFK) - Orange County (SNA)
Customers flying with other oneworld airlines are unable to access the Chelsea lounge.
All lounge access is subject to capacity restrictions.
Catch Forty Winks before your flight
Our new relaxation zone in partnership with Restworks is now open in the First lounge at London Heathow Terminal 5. Blissful sleep pods provide a quiet, calming cocoon where you can recharge your batteries in privacy. Additional Forty Winks relaxation zones will be coming soon to the Concorde Room in London.
