Now available for British Airways vacations

You can now use your Avios as part payment on our vacation packages*. So you could cut the cost of a city break, a fly-drive or your next beach vacation. Log into your Executive Club account and you can use your Avios as part payment on Flight + Hotel and Flight + Car vacations*.

Using Avios to part pay towards a vacation can only be done at initial booking stage. Remaining balances of vacations secured with a deposit cannot be paid by using Avios.

Why use part payment?

  • Reduce the price of your next flight or vacation* using Avios – you can save money on your trip with as little as 1,000 Avios.
  • Save on flights or vacations* using British Airways flights, American Airlines flights routes between the UK and North America, and on British Airways codeshare flights with selected partner airlines.
  • Choose from a range of savings by destination and travel class. Simply choose your flights or vacation* to see the options on the payment page.
  • Even when using Avios to make a saving, you will still collect Avios and Tier Points on your flight as well as any bonus Avios and Tier Points if applicable.

How it works

1. Log in to your Executive Club account and search for flights, Flight + Hotel or Flight + Car packages*.

2. Look for your part payment options on the price page once you’ve selected your flights or vacation*.

  • You’ll see the options for part paying with Avios automatically on any eligible flight or vacation*.
  • Part payment is available on flights and holidays* using British Airways, American Airlines between the UK and North America, and British Airways codeshares with selected partners.
  • Your saving options will vary depending on your chosen travel class, destination, whether your flight is one way or return and the number of people in the booking.

3. Select the saving you’d like to make on your flights or vacation*. The price will adjust automatically. If you didn’t log in at the start of your flight or vacation* search, there’s another chance to do so now.

4. Continue as usual to complete your booking.

Join the Executive Club

To start saving on flights and vacations* using Avios, you just need to be a Member of our Executive Club. If you're not already a Member, it's free to sign up. As well as collecting Avios, you'll also have access to a range of exclusive offers and promotions.

Upgrades, changes and cancellations

Like any regular cash booking, your options for upgrading, changing or cancelling a flight or vacation* purchased with Avios part payment will depend on the fare type or holiday booked. Visit Manage My Booking to check the change and cancellation options for your booking.
