Drive or walk the famous Grand Prix circuit – you may recognise the Fairmont Monte Carlo and swimming pool which overlook the main hairpin bend. Lose yourself in the lanes of old Monaco. Witness the changing of the guard at the Royal Palace – congregate around the entrance on Palace Square at 11:55am to see this 100 year old tradition.
The exquisite Casino de Monaco is also must-see and we’d recommend grabbing a drink at one of the nearby terraces – great for people watching as many remarkable cars line up outside.
Hire a deckchair and relax on the famous, pebbly Nice seafront. Head to one of the buzzing bars and restaurants along the Promenade des Anglais on lively beach holidays. Less than 20 miles from Nice are sandy bays ideal for families, or beaches with exhilarating water sports available for the more adventurous. A coastal walk will uncover more secluded spots with narrow coves to the east and west of Nice.
Nice is a perfect destination for a city break, with regular short flights from the UK. It enjoys great transport links for exploring the French Riviera. Walk around the Promenade des Anglais, or head up to Le Château and enjoy panoramic views. Immerse yourself in culture at the many museums and galleries.
