With one of the largest spas in the Alps, the luxurious Lefay Resort & SPA Dolomiti offers a serene escape for body and mind, surrounded by snow-capped peaks in the winter, and tree-topped mountains in the summer.

Set in the ski resort of Madonna di Campiglio, the five-star hotel sits on the doorstop of the UNESCO-protected Brenta Dolomites. Visitors enjoy the area’s 150 kilometres of ski slopes in the winter, but the region is ideal for hiking and mountain biking in the summer months. Verona’s Valerio Catullo Airport is 86 miles away – and the transfer takes approximately two hours.

Floor-to-ceiling windows keep the spacious Prestige Junior Suites bright with lots of natural light. However, the space remains cosy with electric fireplaces surrounded by oak panelled walls. You can even carry on the spa pampering in your room with Lefay SPA toiletries, a standalone bathtub and a dressing area.

The 5000 square metre Lefay SPA offers spa offers a range of sauna experiences that focus on the elements of water, fire and ice. Their facilities have varying temperatures and humidity levels, which provide a range of benefits for the body. Pools include an indoor sports pool inspired by nearby mountain streams, an indoor and outdoor pool designed to blend into the surrounding landscape and a magnesium-rich whirlpool. The spa area is also home to a Kneipp path and an ice waterfall.

Their fitness centre overlooks the garden and features Technogym cardio equipment, alongside a range of activities, such as personal training sessions, and classes for cardio, sculpting, Pilates and Qi Gong. They also host water gym activities. Group sessions are free – but you can enquire at reception for private sessions and personal training prices.

Committed to sustainability, the hotel is created with the environment in mind. This translates to high levels of insulation and harnessing renewable energy sources, such as a biomass furnace, to reduce their carbon footprint.

Dining information

Dolomia restaurant serves a traditional Italian menu with a modern twist, using oils produced on Lefay farms in Lake Garda and Tuscany. Grual Restaurant, taking its name from the resort’s mountain backdrop, provides dishes inspired by the altimetry of the mountain where you'll be able to enjoy a real gastronomical hike experience, with organic ingredients from Trentino-Alto Adige. A lounge bar offers cocktails and liqueurs in a comforting setting; and the Sky Lounge offers outdoor fire-side seating with mountain views.
