Overview
Constance Lemuria is fringed by lush forest, lined by three white sand beaches and nestled by the iconic granite boulders that epitomise Praslin Island. It’s home to the only 18-hole golf course in the Seychelles, a sprawling spa and a PADI dive centre to guide you in the destination’s underwater paradise. You can visit the eco-kiosk to learn about the endangered hawksbill turtles who nest on on all three of the surrounding beaches, and children can play at the Constance Kids Club. The hotel has four restaurants and five bars, and a range of inviting suites and villas that appeal to couples, families and groups alike.
The hotel stretches along a spectacular headland, on the north-west coast of the laidback island of Praslin in the Seychelles. The resort offers direct access to three stunning white sand beaches – including Petite Anse Kerlan, which has calm, crystalline waters, and Grande Anse Kerlan, known as a turtle nesting ground. You can also spend time on Anse Georgette, widely recognised as one of the world’s most beautiful beaches. The resort is a short drive away from the UNESCO-protected Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve, where you can explore the island’s rare natural flora and fauna – and possibly spot native herons, terrapins and red fody. You can tee off on the impressive 18-hole championship golf course and hire a golf buggy to get around. The island is about a 20-minute flight or an hour’s ferry ride from the mainland, Mahé, and the journey from Praslin Island Airport to the resort is just over two miles.
Suites and villas are scattered across tropical gardens, most just 15 metres from the sand. Accommodation is traditionally decorated with thatched roofing and interiors of wood, marble, limestone and pink granite that echoes the Seychellois landscape. The comforts of tea and coffee making facilities, a minibar and air-conditioning come as standard. Junior Suites are generously sized, at 52 m2, but Senior Suites are considerably larger at 115 m2. The latter also includes a whirlpool bathtub in the bathroom and a separate living room.

Other facilities
Constance Lemuria’s 18-hole golf course is unique to the Seychelles. It covers over 5,000 metres and hosts the renowned MCB Tour Championship. Golfers of all abilities can tee off here, surrounded by panoramic vistas of the Indian Ocean and rolling hills. Green fees are complimentary, and you can hire your own golf buggy for an additional charge. Those who want to perfect their swing can even take up private or group lessons with resident golf professionals.
The resort is nestled into a rocky hillside and features a multi-tiered pool that cascades down towards the beach. Sun loungers and sprawling palm trees are strewn around the three-tiered infinity pool, lulling you to laze around, unhurried on island time. Swim up to the bar to cool down, or wander over to the Constance Spa to nurture your wellbeing. You can take advantage of the plunge pool, whirlpools, stream room and sauna here – and it’s well worth booking a supplementary spa treatment to use the facilities at peak times. Choose a classic therapy, inspired by the Indian Ocean, or opt for a Valmont anti-ageing treatment. There’s also a relaxation garden, a beauty salon and a nearby fully equipped gym, which offers a fitness programme of aerobics, yoga, Pilates and more.
Wander down to Petite Anse Kerlan beach to relax on the dreamy white sands. There are a variety of water sports facilities here, including a dive centre. You can swim and snorkel in the turquoise waters, and enjoy complimentary water sports such as kayaking, paddleboarding, windsurfing and pedal boating. Private water sports lessons, guided snorkelling and scuba diving are also available for an additional charge. Those visiting in season may be lucky enough to witness nesting and hatchling Hawksbill or Green turtles on the three beaches. When 8,000 Hawksbill turtles hatch each year, generally between October to February, the hotel’s turtle specialists freely educate guests about conservation efforts to protect this rare species. At other times of year, you may spot guineafowl, peacocks, rabbits and giant tortoises roaming freely.
Elsewhere, you can play tennis on two floodlit courts or rent a mountain bike to explore the area’s breathtaking beauty. A handy complimentary golf buggy also travels around the resort so you don’t always have to walk. The Constance Kids Club will keep your little ones from 4 to 11 entertained with its imagination space that’s kitted out with a playhouse, kitchenette and tool workshop. Activities for tweens include creating pizzas and making ice creams, as well as child-friendly pampering sessions at the spa.
Dining information
There’s plenty of variety with the hotel’s four restaurants and five bars. Open for breakfast and dinner, the Legend’s buffet and show-cooking stations offer a different cuisine each night, including a weekly chocolate extravaganza. Meanwhile, The Nest sits on a small peninsula between the two Anse Kerlan beaches. You can sample authentic Creole seafood dishes here, including their signature coconut sherbet. The private deck behind the restaurant lies on stilts, overlooking the Indian Ocean, and it’s the perfect spot to celebrate special occasions.
For lunch, head to Takamaka on Petite Anse beach, where a dedicated sushi chef prepares fresh dishes with a Seychellois twist. The adjoining bar stays open into the early evening, so you can admire legendary Praslin sunsets with a drink in hand. Diva is situated above the golf club house, serving a la carte dishes for lunch and modern European cuisine in the evenings, some of which can be enjoyed as family sharing platters. Diva’s wine cellar is not to be missed and can offer private tastings or private dining experiences.
There’s also the Legend Pool bar – where you can order ice-cold drinks, sundaes and ice creams – and the Huna bar which provides evening entertainment and music. The Nest bar is a great place to savour your favourite cocktail with sweeping views across the two spectacular beaches.
Additional information
The hotel’s dress code is referred to as ‘resort chic’. In all restaurants and bars, T-shirts or polo shirts with footwear are accepted in the daytime, but swimwear must always be covered.
