Located just half a mile from Hafjell Alpine Centre, in close proximity to plenty of family-friendly activities, Hafjell Hotell provides a great value opportunity to explore the slopes, with full board dining and accommodating staff.
Situated in Øyer, the hotel is close to central Norway, in the traditional region of Gudbrandsdal. The pretty town of Lillehammer, known for hosting the 1994 Winter Olympics, is ten miles away and Hjafell Alpine Centre is half a mile away – a complimentary shuttle travels to the Alpine Centre in the morning and returns in the afternoon. Transfers to Oslo Airport, which is over 100 miles away, take approximately two hours and 15 minutes.
Rooms here are basic, decorated in neutral colours with orange and beige tones. Double Rooms are cosy, and Family Rooms provide additional space with a bunk bed. Handy shoe dryers are provided in room – ideal for snowy weather.

Hafjell Alpine Centre provides slopes for all members of the family with 31 different ski runs for varying levels of experience – and specific areas for children. Ski lockers are available for rent at the hotel - so you needn’t store equipment in your room. Lekeland Hafjell (entrance for hotel guests is free between 19:00 and 21:00) and Lilleputthammer Adventure Park are next to the hotel, providing family-friendly entertainment including a miniature street, trains, electric cars, a Ferris wheel and mini rollercoaster, as well as a climbing tower. Hunderfossen Family Park, also known as The Fairy-tale Park, is two miles away.
Dining information
Dining at the hotel is split into a series of cosy cabin lounges, specialising in seasonal, local produce - with vegetarian and vegan alternatives available on request. Stop by the Living Room for formal, but relaxed dining, popular with the locals. Or put your feet up at the Fireplace Lounge, sipping a drink après ski.
Additional information
Full Board basis includes a buffet breakfast, a lunch voucher (for one course) and a three-course dinner. Lunch can be taken in the hotel or at one of two restaurants on the slopes during ski season.
