The resort has two inviting infinity swimming pools. The free-form infinity pool is located next to Meeru Bar and Grill and offers a children’s splash pool and breathtaking ocean views – cross the bridge over to the island for a relaxing sunbathing spot. The oceanfront infinity pool is located by the Sunset Pool Café, on the southern tip of the island. This pool has a more grown-up feel with chill-out music, sunloungers and bar service.

Themes of sand, sun and sea echo the natural beauty of the Maldives into the heavenly surroundings of the Hideaway Spa – with internal waterways, water walls, sandy floors and the sound of the waves creating a tranquil environment. Focus on relaxation and the rejuvenation of your mind, body and spirit. Treatments use spa products by celebrity favourite, Natura Bisse. As well as a menu of traditional spa treatments, you can choose ayurvedic treatments which focus on your vital energy points. There are 12 private treatment rooms, a steam room, outdoor pavilion, manicure and pedicure station, relaxation zone and a retail area.

Enjoy complimentary use of snorkelling equipment to discover the stunning colours of the house reef, which is home to vibrant fish, Eagle rays, stingrays, Manta rays and sharks. Dhona Kulhi reef sits just 10 to 30 metres from the shore and is often visited by dolphins, turtles and whale sharks. There are also 28 dive sites within 60 minutes of the resort, by Dhoni. Hire the latest gear from the Meridis Dive Centre, which offers courses for both beginners and experienced divers.

Make a splash at the Maldives first floating Aqua Park. Whizz down slides, climb and balance whilst floating on the shallow waters of the lagoon – finish up in the relaxation area for a well-deserved rest. Deep Blue Water Sports provides plenty of opportunity for you to enjoy the beautiful ocean setting. Choose from windsurfing, stand up paddle boarding, water skiing, wakeboarding, inflatable fun rides, jet skis, kiteboarding and kayaking. If you like to keep busy there is a fully equipped gym, tennis courts, padel, a golf simulator, a golf putting green, indoor badminton, a half-basketball court, AstroTurf pitch, volleyball court and hidden bike trails. You can also take part in group fitness classes and yoga sessions.

The Tender Hearts Kids Club offers a wealth of indoor and outdoor activities for children aged between 3 and 12. Fun activities include sandcastle making, treasure hunts, painting and drawing and island hide and seek. There is also a playground area, a small library, board games and bicycles. A babysitting service is provided on request for a fee.

Hideaway Beach Resort is dedicated to sustainability. As part of the fight against single-use plastics, the resort only uses paper trays and straws. They also have a water bottling plant, which delivers pure and sparkling water in refillable glass bottles. The vegetable garden provides the kitchens with a supply of fresh fruit and vegetables, each day. Over 20 things are grown on-site, from sweet potatoes to watermelons and courgettes. The resort also partakes in sustainable fishing methods, every week local fishermen from nearby islands deliver and sell their catch to the resort. They use natural resources, cultivated from areas around the resort, for centrepieces and crafts for guests. A tree planting activity helps maintain the luscious vegetation of the island and can be a nice activity and a way of leaving a lasting memory.

At the airport lounge, where you await your transfers to the island, there is a pastry buffet, juices, a gaming area, two massage chairs and an outdoor area to watch seaplanes lift off.

Dining information

Meeru Bar and Grill provides relaxed dining, by the pool. Enjoy handcrafted pizzas, cooked in a wood-fired oven, succulent cuts grilled on the Lava Stone Grill and freshly caught lobster. Enjoy your meal on the outside deck, overlooking the ocean. Finish up with a cocktail from the bar or a drink from one of the largest whisky and champagne collections in the Maldives. From Sunday to Friday, The Fish Market serves delicious fish dishes – choose how you would like the ‘catch of the day’ to be marinaded and cooked.

Matheefaru offers a daily changing, expansive buffet menu. This sand-floored oceanfront restaurant also has an open-air deck, so you enjoy breakfast with an ocean breeze or dine under the stars at night-time. Breakfast is a highlight here, choose fresh fruit platters, juices, pastries straight from the oven, eggs any way you like, freshly baked breads, cheeses and cold cuts of meat. Meals at Samsara Asian Fusion are a combination of Thai, Indian and Japanese influences. Choose fine dining options from the menu or dishes from the teppanyaki table. The open-air terrace provides a romantic location, stilted above the turquoise lagoon.

The Sunset Pool Café is open for lunch and dinner. Take in the panoramic views whilst sampling Asian and European influenced dishes. Quench your thirst at Cocktails by the Pool, the go-to place for expertly mixed drinks.

Dedicated to Signature Guests, the Oasis restaurant, bar and lounge is inspired by the Mediterranean coastline, with elegant Middle Eastern touches and lush foliage. The restaurant serves a la carte breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a carefully curated wine list and a shisha corner.
