Cayo Exclusive Resort & Spa is just 250 metres from the picturesque village of Plaka with its charming restaurants, souvenir shops, cafeterias and local supermarket. To explore further afield, take the bus, which stops nearby or hire a car – the hotel has a free parking area. The town of Agios Nikolaos is ten miles away, and both the city of Heraklion and Heraklion Airport are 41 miles away.
The hotel’s bioclimatic architecture utilises a man-made slope to make the most of natural warmth and light, whilst respecting the surrounding areas. A heat recovery system uses the heat from air conditioning units to warm the main building’s water. Modern, with traditional Cretan influences, comfortable guest rooms are soundproofed, all have a spacious furnished balcony or patio and a private pool. Amenities include free Wi-Fi, Nespresso machine, desk and hairdryer. The hotel also provides a pillow menu, bathrobes and slippers.
