The all-inclusive Moon Palace Cancun stretches along a peaceful beachfront on Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula. Popular with families and couples, this five-start resort is divided into two sections, ‘Nizuc’ and ‘Sunrise’, which feature elegant accommodation, an array of dining options and several pools. You’ll have full access to the facilities on either side, including 16 restaurants, 12 bars, a world-class spa, a Wired Lounge gaming centre for teens, two kids’ clubs and two fitness centres. You can also tee off on the 27-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, glide across the artificial skating rink, retreat to the meditation garden or simply soak up the sun on the beach.

Moon Palace Cancun sits on the north east edge of Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula, providing direct access to a white sand beach and over 120 acres of tropical grounds. You can visit the Mayan ruins in the El Rey Archaeological Zone, 12 miles away – or head to Cancun’s lively city centre around 15 miles away, where you’ll find an array of shops, restaurants and nightclubs. Cancun International Airport is just seven miles, or around a 15-minute drive, from the resort.

Over 2,000 contemporary rooms and suites spread across the resort’s two zones, Nizuc and Sunrise. Each features a Smart TV with Chromecast, coffee machine and a complimentary minibar that’s replenished daily. You’ll find a whirlpool bathtub in each bedroom, and a modern en-suite bathroom with a shower, bathrobes, slippers and toiletries by CHI or L’Occitane. All rooms open onto a private balcony or terrace, and you can book a Superior Junior Suite with golf course views and a personal golf cart. Alternatively, Swim Up Suites boast a direct access to a pool, while Superior Deluxe Ocean Front rooms provide outstanding Caribbean Sea views. Family Suites with interconnecting rooms are also available and include minibars with Hershey’s milkshakes, soft drinks and snacks.

Other facilities

The whole family can enjoy a wide range of activities in resort, including non-motorised water sports, beach volleyball, mini-golf, cycling and surfing on the FlowRider surf simulator. There are also two modern fitness centres, multiple tennis courts, a basketball court, an artificial skating rink and a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course, where you can hit the driving range or perfect your swing with the golf academy’s certified instructors (additional charges apply).

Children have a choice of two supervised kids' clubs, including the Sunrise Playroom for 4- to 12-year-olds, and the Nizuc Playroom for those between the ages of four and ten. Sunrise Playroom offers a fashion catwalk, dollhouse, video games, arts and crafts area and an Xbox room, while Nizuc Playroom features a role play area, toy area and video games. Meanwhile, teenagers may prefer to hang out in the Wired Lounge with TV screens, Xbox consoles, pool tables, arcade games and a snack bar.

For a slower pace, relax around one of several swimming pools or whirlpools. Two large lagoon-style pools weave through the grounds, complete with swim-up bars, and there are three additional pools surrounded by thatched umbrellas and sunbeds. Children can splash around in the two kids’ pools, one with a water slide, and the whole family can enjoy the Flowrider surf simulator. Alternatively, you can slip away to the tranquil meditation gardens, or head to the spa for an invigorating massage, facial or body scrub (for a supplement charge). After your treatment, you’ll gain access to the hydrotherapy facilities for the rest of the day.

In the evening, the resort hosts diverse entertainment ranging from dance shows to musical performances. There’s also a nightclub with live DJ music that opens on select days.

Dining information

The resort caters for all palates with 16 tempting restaurants. El Manglar and Bugambilias are two buffet-style restaurants that open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. El Manglar serves international cuisine, while Bugambilias offers separate stations for grilled tacos, Lebanese food, ceviche and desserts.

During the day, you can enjoy a light poolside lunch at Palapa Delfines, savour Texan-style barbeque dishes at Smoked or order a savoury hamburger from Burgueria. You can also stop by Palapa Pelicanos for poolside snacks and grilled treats, before returning in the evening to sample Mediterranean delicacies beside the Caribbean Sea. Pier 8 boasts also breathtaking views across the Caribbean Sea, and serves an international buffet-style lunch, followed by a la carte seafood dishes for dinner.

Agra’s menu focuses on the authentic flavours of India, Momo specialises in Asian-fusion cuisine and Arrecifes is a Brazilian-style steakhouse. Los Caporales is the place to go for authentic Mexican food, while Riviera Maya explores the culinary delights of the Yucatan Peninsula. It's also worth checking out the beautiful stained-glass ceiling in La Gondola, where you can relish an international breakfast or classic Italian dishes at dinner. La Trattoria, which is set by the golf course, also specialises in Italian cuisine.

Vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options are available throughout the resort, and you should contact the Public Relations desk upon arrival if you have any food allergies.

Additional information

Please note that bare feet, water shoes, swimsuits and sleeveless shirts are not permitted in any restaurant. Some a la carte restaurants have a smart-casual dress code, where gentlemen are expected to wear full-length trousers or tailored shorts with a collared shirt or polo shirt.

A floating barrier has been installed out at sea, to enclose the beach at Moon Palace Cancun and prevent sargassum seaweed from reaching the shore.

We strongly recommend that transfers are booked in this destination. Transfers must be booked as additional items, for which separate vouchers will be required.
