You won’t be short of bathing space here, with seven pools and a gorgeous stretch of beach – each with plenty of loungers, Bali beds, hammocks and palm trees for shade. There’s the main lagoon style pool, surrounded by sand and gently sloped entrances, which leads to a contemporary cross shaped pool with a see-through edge. You’ll find a second lagoon style pool and an infinity pool with a swim-up bar by the beach. For a cosy swim, there’s three man-made cenotes, which are cave style pools surrounded by rock walls.
When it’s time to unwind, Secrets Spa by Pevonia® awaits with a tempting range of treatments (extra charge), from the traditional to the innovative. The spa aims to aid self-healing and stress recovery through relaxation, nutritional advice and use of locally sourced natural ingredients. You’ll find a beauty salon, sauna, steam room and an outdoor spa pool – enhanced with pressure jets, waterfalls and a bubble area.
If you fancy keeping active there’s a wealth of activities and entertainment. Head to the beach for volleyball and yoga, or try your hand at kayaking, paddleboarding and snorkelling. You’ll find several classes and sessions, from archery and tennis to dance and cocktail making, as well as arranged bike tours. Catch live music, shows and entertainment in the amphitheatre, both day and night, with its own bar for refreshments.
Together with its adjoining property, there’s an impressive 14 gourmet dining options available, with three exclusive to Impression guests. The main buffet restaurant, Market Café, serves breakfast and lunch in a casual farmers market style venue. Be it a morning brew or a late-night sandwich, the 24-hour Coco Café has everything you need – try their fresh pastries, fruit selection and fresh pressed juices. Situated on stilts over the main lagoon pool, Bamboo boasts southeast Asian cuisine and a delicious plant-based menu, under a grand canopy for both lunch and dinner. Meander over to the stylish restaurant Cielo Impression – a rooftop, laidback option for lunch and drinks.
For a romantic evening meal, Bisou brings French a la carte to the table, while Allora plates up fine Italian fare. Taste fresh seafood dishes by the beach at Seasoul, before grabbing a fruity cocktail from Sugar Reef beach bar to take to your lounger. Satisfy your inner carnivore at Ember, a smokehouse style restaurant, or grab a quick grilled bite at Barefoot Grill. Dos Almas provides authentic Mexican cuisine with an optional taco and Tequila/Mezcal tasting bar (at a supplement). Suki offers a delectable Asian a la carte fusion menu, including Japanese dishes. Be sure to try sushi at the sushi bar, while teppanyaki tables are available at a supplement. À la carte grilled specialties are served at Seaside Beach Club or for something more formal, try Teodoro for an exciting daily, changing menu.
For drinks, cocktails and refreshments there’s plenty of bars including Cove Bar by the lagoon pool, Mantarray swim-up pool bar, and for Preferred Club guests there’s the Observatory on the rooftop. Moxche theatre bar serves refreshments during the evening entertainment and Dark Horse offers a cosy sports bar, televising sporting events, with a golf simulator and foosball tables. If it’s a quiet evening you're after, head to the Lobby Bar.
