Following the recent retirement of British Airways’ 747 fleet of aircraft, we’re delighted that Air Atlanta Icelandic is going to be taking the controls of one of our Boeing 747-400 full flight simulators, helping its pilots continue their training and recency. The simulator will remain at British Airways’ Global Learning Academy in London where our highly trained simulator engineering team will host, maintain and recertify it for both UK CAA and EASA qualification.
The simulator, which boasts a General Electric and Rolls Royce engine capability, will also be available for hire by other airlines that operate the Boeing 747 aircraft.
We are incredibly proud that British Airways’ state-of-the-art Global Learning Academy brings together all areas of training into one centre of excellence. We offer a consistent, and reliable training solution, tailored to support individual needs in a safe and positive working environment.
To find out more about opportunities to train on our simulators please contact the BA Global Learning Academy Commercial team at flight.training@ba.com.
