Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions are an important part of the Flight Simulator Experience with British Airways Flight Training (BAFT). Please read them carefully before making your booking or purchasing a voucher. Please note that vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and your flight must be booked before the voucher expires.

collapsedshowWho can participate?

Flight Simulator Experiences involve a degree of physical mobility and may not be suitable for some people. Please check with us at the time of booking if you have any concerns. Participants must:

  • be 14 years or older;
  • be accompanied by a responsible adult if under 18 years of age;
  • be in good health and free from heart, back or neck problems, motion sickness or other conditions that could be aggravated by the motion of the simulator. It is advised that expectant mothers should not participate;
  • be dressed appropriately in smart casual clothing with flat shoes; and
  • not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

BAFT may refuse admittance to any participant who is under-age, appears unwell or is under the influence of drugs or alcohol. No refund will be given in such circumstances. The maximum number of participants is 2. Only Flight Simulator Experience participants will be permitted to enter the BAFT complex. Flight Simulator Experiences are not suitable for professional pilot training and pre-interview preparation for airline selection is strictly prohibited.

collapsedshowWhat identification must I produce on arrival

In the interests of security all participants will be required to provide a current passport or driving licence. Failure to provide adequate identification will result in the refusal of admittance. No refund will be given in such circumstances.

collapsedshowAvailability

BAFT reserves the right to move the time of the Flight Simulator Experience on your chosen day to accommodate instructor or simulator availability. In the rare event of a simulator failure BAFT will give priority to training professional pilots. This may result in changes to your Flight Simulator Experience date, time or aircraft type.

If BAFT is unable to provide a Flight Simulator Experience due to simulator failure or other circumstances beyond its control, participants may choose a simulator upgrade or a £50 discount if they reschedule to a different day or aircraft type. Where bookings are not made with a voucher, participants may choose a full refund instead of the experience.

For planning and security reasons, BAFT reserves the right to restrict the number of Flight Simulator Experiences that may be booked, given to or enjoyed by and individual, group or organization during a rolling 12 month period to 3 one hour sessions. If you or your organization have purchased, won or been given more than 3 Flight Simulator Experiences for use within a 12 month period, please contact our bookings team to discuss the position further.

collapsedshowCancellations by participants

Once a Flight Simulator Experience booking has been made there is a £50 charge for participants cancelling or rescheduling the booking. Cancellations within 72 hours of a Flight Simulator Experience and "no-shows" are not refundable.

Vouchers are refundable within 30 days of purchase, subject to a £10 administration fee. After 30 days no refund will be given for a voucher or any booking made with a voucher.

collapsedshowRefunds

Any refunds will be paid directly to the debit/credit card that was used for payment.

collapsedshowCurtailment

If the Flight Simulator Experience duration is reduced due to the participant (e.g. motion sickness, toilet breaks, late arrival) then no refund will be given. If there are technical problems with the simulator that significantly reduces the quality and/or duration of the Flight Simulator Experience the participant will receive an appropriate refund, to be determined by BAFT, acting reasonably.

collapsedshowPersonal Data

I agree that the personal data provided to British Airways in connection with this booking can be stored by British Airways in accordance with the data protection act and may be provided to government authorities in the interests of aviation security.

collapsedshowGeneral

BAFT’s liability to any participant for any financial loss a participant may suffer as a result of BAFT’s breach of these terms and conditions shall not be greater than the amount of fees paid by the participant for the Flight Simulator Experience. However, BAFT does not exclude or limit liability to any participant for death or personal injury resulting from BAFT’s negligence. The booking form and these terms and conditions form the entire contract for the provision of Flight Simulator Experiences by BAFT.
