Despite this flair for fashion and style, at first glance some might say that Milan lacks the romance of Florence, Venice and Rome, but look closer and you’ll discover its unique appeal. Many of the city’s treasured attractions still stand strong, with the neo-gothic façade of the Duomo and grandeur of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II looking as appealing as in their heyday. Other areas have evolved over time. Picturesque Navigli boasts canal-side cafes while, the chic Brera district still retains some of its original bohemian character.
