Discover ways to spend your days

Small in size, simple in demeanour, yet there is still plenty to occupy your days in Tobago – it’s an island escape – but one with plenty to escape to. Go ahead and lose yourself in exotic charm.

A visit to Pigeon Point is a must, relax on the white sands, listen to the waves and live music play. This beautiful traditional Caribbean beach hosts a selection of restaurants, bars and water sports to keep you in the holiday spirit. Take time out to visit Argyle Waterfall. Make the short hike to swim in the natural pool and stand underneath for nature’s massage. You can even climb to the top, through luscious rainforest, to admire the view. If you have time, head to the even smaller island of Little Tobago for some spectacular snorkelling and diving. Take a glass bottomed boat to Buccoo Reef and see water as clear as the sky.

At just 26 miles long by 8 miles wide, you can comfortably tour Tobago in one day. Nylon Pool is a metre-deep tropical bath in water so clear it was named after Princess Margaret’s sheer tights. But swap tights for hiking boots for exploring the Main Ridge Forest Reserve, the oldest protected rainforest in the Western Hemisphere.

Admire the spectacular scenery as you play an enjoyable round or two. Mount Irvine golf course has long fairways lined with coconut trees and glimpses of the azure sea, while the Tobago Plantations golf course enjoys panoramic views of Tobago's capital, Scarborough, from a fairway out on a peninsula.

Enjoy unbelievable adventures on holidays to Tobago. Encounter hidden waterfalls when you hike and tread quietly to spot some of the richest birdlife in the Caribbean. Hire a bike to cycle a network of old oilfield roads that open the island to exploration. By sea kayak you’re just skimming the surface - snorkel and you’ll find 300 species of coral.

Tobago's beautiful beaches provide the perfect backdrop for your Caribbean break. Snorkel or jump aboard a glass bottom boat at Pigeon Point or enjoy a 'deserted' beach picnic at Cotton Bay. Visit Kilgwyn Bay and La Guira with its long stretch of sandy beach and shallow waters that lead out to the popular Flying Reef.

World renowned for bird watching, Tobago roosts over 200 bird species on 116 square miles of land including the beautifully colourful and the beautifully rare. Spot striking scarlet ibis and maybe even a rare white tailed Sabrewing hummingbird.
