Whenever and wherever you fly, you can earn Avios — with British Airways, our oneworld® alliance partners and our other airline partners. You can earn Tier Points too, on British Airways and oneworld flights.
Almost all flights are eligible. The only flights you do not earn Avios or Tier Points on are reward flights, agency discounted fares and industry discounted fares.
The amount you collect depends on which airline you fly, how far you fly, the cabin you fly in, the type of ticket you hold and your Executive Club tier. The easiest way to work it out is to use our flight calculator.
Flight calculator — how many Avios and Tier Points will I collect? To find out the specific details of each airline's policies, please see below.
The further you move through the tiers of the Club the more Avios you'll collect. Bronze, Silver and Gold Members earn the following tier bonuses on British Airways flights:
This tier bonus is in addition to the Avios bonuses available for travelling in our premium cabins.
Some of our partner airlines also offer tier bonuses, helping you to grow your Avios balance faster. For details, check the individual airlines below.
The Avios and Tier Point amounts shown here apply to all flights booked from 28 April 2015.
To see how many Avios and Tier Points you’ll collect on bookings made before this date, look in Manage My Booking under passenger information.

The table below shows when you will collect Avios and Tier Points on codeshare flights.
Have you ever been at the airport and noticed that your flight has multiple flight numbers and wondered why this happens? Flights which have different flight numbers are called codeshare flights. This is where two or more airlines share the same flight and the flight will be operated by one airline such as British Airways but it could have a BA flight number or a flight number from a different airline. The Avios and Tier Points that you earn depends on both the airline flight number that is on your ticket and the partnership agreement in place with that partner.
Any flight operated under a BA flight number will earn Avios and Tier Points as per the BA table above or click on the links above to find out more about the Avios and Tier Points you can earn with British Airways’ partners.
