To get the best choice of seats, it’s best to reserve your seats in advance, for which you might have to pay.
If you don’t choose your seats in advance, we’ll do our best to seat your family together a few days before your flight departs, from the limited selection of seats available. This might result in your family being split over different rows or across the aisle, however we will make sure each child under 12 is seated with an adult from your booking. Anyone over 12 years is treated as an adult in our system, so we may seat them separately.
If you are an Executive Club Gold, Silver or Bronze Member, you can reserve seats for everyone in your booking for free. Make sure you add your membership number to all your bookings to take advantage of this benefit. You will also be able to reserve seats for free with certain fares.
When you travel with an infant (under 2) who won't be travelling in a seat of their own, you can reserve a seat for yourself and everyone in your booking, free of charge, as soon as you've made your booking (except for bookings of over 9 people).
If you don't choose a seat in advance, where possible we'll reserve suitable seats for you a few days before the flight, however the selection will be limited.
Our carrycots and child seats are for infants from birth up to 2 years old. You can reserve a carrycot/child seat position in advance on long haul flights only, as our short haul aircraft do not have carrycot/child seats.
Child seats and carrycots are supplied free of charge, but are subject to availability on-board the aircraft on the day. They will be given to the people sitting in the carrycot/child seat positions on a first-come, first-served basis.
Even if you’ve reserved this type of seat, we may have to move you on the day if there is a person with a greater need who requires it, such as a wheelchair user.
How to reserve carrycot/child seats
Please reserve a carrycot/child seat position in advance, using Manage My Booking. The carrycot seat positions are marked on the seat maps with a baby icon.
If you don't choose a seat in advance, we'll allocate a suitable seat for you a few days before departure, but this might not be at a carrycot/child seat position.
If your infant is under 2 and you haven't reserved a carrycot position, your infant can sit on your lap using an extension seat belt. The cabin crew will provide this for you and show you how to use the seat belt.
For your baby's comfort, we have specially designed carrycots on board, so that your baby can sleep during the flight. If you have reserved your seat at a carrycot position, you can ask the cabin crew for a carrycot.

You can bring your own CoziGo carrycot cover which can be used with all styles of carrycots on our long haul flights.
We'll supply a child seat that attaches to the carrycot position. If you have reserved your seat at a carrycot position, you can ask the cabin crew for a child seat.

Please note: Two part car seats, (a seat and separate base) are not suitable for use on aircraft seats.
AmSafe Child Restraint System
If you have your own AmSafe Child Restraint System, you can use this on board in economy seats for infants from 12 months to children of 4 years.
The AmSafe System is not suitable for use in first class, business class or premium economy and cannot be used in the rows before, after or on an emergency exit.
Please note: If you have paid for a separate seat for your infant and you don’t bring a child seat or AmSafe System, your infant must sit on your lap using an extension seatbelt during taxi, take-off, landing and turbulence (when the seatbelt sign is on). The cabin crew will provide the extension seat belt and show you how to use it.
