Just beyond the gardens, the pool and the pond is a lovely stretch of white sandy beach called Marinella. Here, a section of is reserved solely for guests of Abi d’Oru. You will have access to loungers and umbrellas between rows three and seven on this sheltered part of the shore, the water is calm and shallow for children to splash around.

The hotel operates a Bee Happy Kids’ Club, where little ones (4 to 12 year olds) can make new friends and play under the supervision of trusted professionals. Throughout the day, they can participate in water games, group games, and sporting activities in the play park and the children’s outdoor pool. They can also have lunch and dinner at the kids’ restaurant (for a fee). Nursery service is available for families with children under four years of age for a fee.

Various sports and nautical activities are available upon request and can be booked at the hotel reception.

Near the hotel, guests can enjoy, sailing and surfing facilities, as well rent inflatables, canoes and other boats. There’s also a dive school close by. If you prefer to spend the day on land, bicycles and e-bicycles, motorbikes and cars can be rented directly at the hotel.

For wellness and relaxation, visit the Abi Spa where calm and attentive staff cares for your every need. Four treatment rooms, named after the essential fragrances of Sardinia, are available for massages and other treatments. Afterwards, guests can chill out in the relaxation area with Himalayan salt walls. The spa is equipped with a sauna, Turkish bath and ice waterfall – plus there’s a private spa that can be booked for exclusive use.

Dining information

The hotel features three restaurants and three bars. Start your day at Mediterraneo Restaurant, located in the main building, serving breakfast that includes local pastries (such as papassini, acciuleddi and seadas) on a lovely terrace overlooking the sea.

If you are already on the beach, stroll across the sand to Marinella Restaurant which is open for lunch and dinner, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows with a relaxing atmosphere. Its menu is rich in meat and fish specialities, among these, grilled shellfish. For traditional Sardinian cuisine, visit Tzia Maria Restaurant, which opens out onto the hotel garden, serving a tasting menu for lunch and dinner that includes all the most celebrated Sardinian recipes.

The hotel has three bars, which serve snacks, cocktails and refreshments. The lobby bar, with its terrace overlooking the sea, is the place for cocktails at sunset or after dinner. The pool bar serves coffee, refreshments and a wide selection of aperitifs, snacks, smoothies, fruit and ice creams. The beach bar is the place for a mid-day refreshment or cocktail at sunset.
